Moving events on the calendar does not move them in the calendar API

I created a set of events in a corp calendar in evegate and noticed I had accidentally set one of them on the wrong date and corrected it.
After waiting a few hours, I queried the API and it had all the events but had the old date. I double checked on evegate and it had the right date.
I then waited an hour or so and added some new events, checked the API and it still had the wrong date but even the new events are showing up (i.e. its not a "wait for the API to refresh issue").
