A Month To Remember

The killing... The bloodshed...

My god, we got a lot of kills this month. We completely smashed our "kills" record, almost smashed our "losses" record and completely annihilated our "top killers" record. The month of February saw some extremely fierce fighting which quite often escalated into enormous super capital battles that thrust Local past 2000 and categorically proved that TiDi works. There have been victories, defeats, welps (600 drakes lost in 1 fight lol) but more than anything there has been the kind of exhilaration and excitement one normally only dreams about. No wonder ENL-I has a low turnover rate; who wants to leave after being part of a 1000 man battle on their first day in corp?

We are absolutely dominating the PvP side of the game. Within TEST we have been second on the killboard each full month since being in the alliance and February was certainly no exception. It is also worth noting that we are second only to Dreddit who has almost 3000 members. These are some particular highlights which fill me full of glee:

- 2596 Kills, 735 of which were Battlecruisers, 190 Battleships, 121 T3 Cruisers, 8 Carriers and 6 Supercarriers, for a total of 432 BILLION isk damage
- 2nd TEST killboard, link here: https://kb.pleaseignore.com/?a=alliance_detail&view=corp_kills&all_id=499&m=2&y=2012
- 6 of the top 10 killers for February in TEST were ENL-I, see this image: http://i42.tinypic.com/azbdr7.png
- Made it to TEST all time killers, 8th place, in just 4 months
- 1.3 BILLION isk payed out in PvP prizes, including 500 Million to new member Major Niall for finishing top on TEST top 10 killers for Feb
- Top 6 pilots over 300 kills, top 4 pilots over 400 kills, top 2 pilots over 600 kills, top pilot over 700 kills

The sweet spot was reaching the very last day of February with no super kills thus far, only to wake up and check our killboard to see 6 super kills of Pandemic Legion and NCDot. ENL-I scrambled to put people into fleet with zero notice and travelled 30 odd jumps across the universe to help AAA. Outstanding!

Besides all that

We merged with a corp you may have heard of, Northern Grit Shifters, bringing over a healthy number of active pilots. This has put our corp number to over 250 now. Our Mentor Team is doing a fantastic job which means our new recruits are set up and ready to roll within their first day of joining.

We are still working on our "Houses", as mentioned previously, and putting the infrastructure into place to get them off the ground. It's taking a lot of work and our managers are working flat out, especially our web admins who are setting up the Wiki site which will be invaluable to our Houses. We're not rushing, we want to make sure everything is right but before long our Houses will be fully operational and providing even more content to our members.

As always we're always after new officers and managers and more people step up each day to help lighten the burden. Our industrial side is also being given a new lease of life with the need for Dreadnoughts pushing our indies into a frenzy. This coupled with the new ENL-I Dread Initiative means more of our members are getting into capital ships than ever before. The initiative sees the racial Dread skillbook, normally costing 90 Million isk, being given to those ready for it for free. We are also discounting corp built dreadnoughts by 250 Million isk too. TEST has its own incentives, offering free modules to those new into a Dread. This amounts to well over 500 Million isk put towards a members new Dread. Not bad, huh?

The future!!!!

We have some exciting announcements to make over the coming months which pertain to our future direction, but for now I'll be keeping quiet on those. Suffice to say we want to continue growing bigger and stronger whilst reinforcing our corp culture and identity. We will be doing everything we can, such as introducing Houses, to ensure our culture and identity remains as strong as ever. We're working hard on increasing corp related activities, both indy and pvp, and working even harder on giving our members more incentives and rewards.

I'd like to end with this: Major Niall has only been in ENL-I a month and in that month he managed to become February's Top Killer with 666 kills in the entire TEST alliance. He bagged himself 500 Million isk for this fact alone and has won much more from our weekly prizes too. This is testament not only to ENL-I's prowess on the battlefield but also to the Mentor Team for ensuring Niall got up and running in no time, and for the corp culture to encourage people like Niall into fleets without the need for CTA's or threats. So, a big round of applause to Niall and the rest of our Top 10 Feb pvpers!

Hi

Just want to give this post a friendly bump and expand on a few things. First, things are absolutely cracking in our corp at the moment. We are having higher than ever activity levels. At any time you can find 30-60+ corp members online. We truly have 23/7 timezone coverage. There is always something to do.

Over the last few days we have been cleaning house in our home region of Fountain, killing every hostile tower and POCO in the NPC pocket while eliciting a boatload of tears from the local vermin (G0dfathers, or as I like to call them D0ckfathers). We have also quickly ground through the constellations that belonged to BDEAL who recently failurecascaded out of Fountain.

Another focus within the corp over the last week or so has been to reignite some small gang pvp roams. Last month I was one of the top killers in all of TEST Alliance, but I have to say I have been having a TON of fun going into adjacent regions over the last few days and engaging in small gang warfare. A few of us went on a roam the other day and killed over 600 million isk worth of ships with only a ragtag group of 5 of us. Was a real rush!

If this all sounds cool to you, feel free to come into our public channel and chat with us, or poke one of us recruiters and talk in private.

The Lion, The Witch & The Fall of Insomother

Lord, more PvP stories?

So in one week we have over 700 kills. Quite a lot, no? In one week we have over 5 of our top10 past 200 kills and all 10 of our top10 over 100 kills. In one week. This is of course an incredible number and is testament to not just the quality and activity of ENL-I but also of the environment we live in, i.e. TEST Alliance and the CFC. I'm going to list some of my highlights for this past week:

- Lots of AHAC roams: AHACS are fun, 120+ AHACS is hella-fun
- Tier 3 Sniper Gangs: Alpha'ing BC's from 100km away? Check!
- ENL-I FC led Alliance roams: We currently have 3 Alliance FC's, 1 of whom was recently promoted to Skirmish Commander
- Small gang corp roams: We have more ENL-I non-Alliance FC's who have been taking out lots of small corp roams
- The Battle for C-J6 - The Fall of Insomother: ENL-I were a part of this historical battle

Ok so let's go into some more detail. We don't just run one type of fleet doctrine here in ENL-I/TEST, we run several and they cater for all tastes. There's the standard Alpha Fleet (Maels) and we also now run a Perma-MWD Drake doctrine too. On top of this we run regular AHAC roams and have begun using those awesome sniping tier 3's too. My Oracle does 850 DPS and can shoot out to 200km. ENL-I FC's have been very active this week with everything from large Alliance ops to small 5 man corp roams. Our SRP means all ships not covered by Alliance SRP are reimbursable so budding FC's have more encouragement to go out and get welped.

Something which I am glad we were a part of however was the recent battle of C-J6. Let me explain the significance of this system - Many years ago Red Alliance were pushed back by hostile forces to this system and it became their "last stand", so to speak. At the same time Goonswarm was in its infancy and hated by the majority of EVE and had suffered many back stabs which had forced them to abandoned their dream of 0.0 sov space. Red Alliance for whatever reason took Goonswarm in and allowed them to live in C-J6 alongside them and, together, they managed to push back and beat the attacking hostiles and go on to conquer several regions together. GSF and RA aren't exactly best buddies anymore but when news of C-J6 being on its final timer came in The Mittani decided to send this historical system to Goons and RA off in style, and so we formed up 3 full Drake fleets and travelled across the entire universe.

The fight was incredible. I have had a lot of respect for AAA for a while now and in this battle they shown exactly why they've steamrolled the south. AAA and friends had over 1000 subcaps, with supers on standby, and they managed to beat our few Drake fleets and all other resistance before dropping supers in, forcing PL/NCDot to flee, and taking the station. They used their bombing fleets in spectacular fashion and in one run decimated the Drake fleet I was on resulting in the few survivors withdrawing from the system. This was a well deserved victory for AAA and I'm proud to say ENL-I was there for this history making event.

ENL-I Updates

There's lots happening in ENL-I, as usual. For starters we're now up to almost 280 members; even during our quietest periods we still get up to 20 people online. We are currently working on some our out of game infrastructure to keep our culture and identity strong, such as:

- New website portal: This will be where http://www.ENL-I.com points to, preview here http://www.ENL-I.com/home/ - It'll be Wordpress based and I'll be able to blog regularly on it to keep everyone informed with what we're doing.
- Wiki beginning to take shape: http://wiki.ENL-I.com - We'll be using this for all kinds of things, from general information for prospective recruits to community pages for our Houses.
- Tons of improvements to our forum.

I am also pleased to announce that our ENL-I Academy corporation has been established and we are currently working on its infrastructure. We are working on some promotional videos and we intend to advertise our presence on Sci-Fi related forums to bring new people into the game, and to ENL-I. We'll have a structured approach with training plans ensuring those who join our Academy fly the ships we want them to fly. It'll be similar to E-Uni in some respects but will be purely focused on PvP and the transition to nullsec. It'll also give current ENL-I members lots of opportunities to help out, such as with industry (building ships for the Academy members), HR and lots of FC'ing opportunities. We expect our Academy to be fully operational within 6-8 months and we believe it'll not just bring new players into the game but also help ENL-I to grow.

Visionary

It is my belief that a corp always needs to have a goal, a vision, and to be always moving forward. It doesn't matter so much what those goals are; they don't have to be goals of dominating the galaxy. They can be anything from encouraging more FC'ing right through to successful deployments. Here at ENL-I we always have several goals running in tandem and I make sure I keep my members busy (stops them from losing even more 2bil ratting ships ffs). As such I have implemented several immediate goals (new website/Wiki, more small gang, etc), several intermediate goals (ENL-I Academy) and several long term 12 months+ (sekret).

This means there is always something we're working on, and in all timezones. For those of you wanting to get involved in the running and development of the corp then this is the place for you. We give everyone who wants to a chance to step up and go above and beyond the ordinary duties of our members, and this can be anything from being a Mentor, a Recruitment Officer or even an FC.

A Quickie...

Just how I like it...

My last update was a complete wall of text so this one I'll try to keep short and sweet.

PvP is still going strong; in just 2 weeks we've amassed over 1,400 kills with almost all of our top10 killers having over 200 kills and top 3 all over 300. We're second on the alliance killboard, as usual, and have also made it to the top 10 killing corps all time in TEST too.

We have 3 FC's currently running alliance ops with 1 being a full skirmish commander - this means he's authorized to run alpha fleet (battleships). We have other FC's in the bootcamp too learning the ropes.

I recently fun-deployed us down to Syndicate and our first day there saw a fun roam of T1 cruisers/frigs with some nice kills and we then welped which was a ton of fun. We were planning on being there all week but thanks to this terrible patch I lost 2 days game time.

Work is still ongoing on the wiki and the houses. We also have a new website incoming which will be our portal home linking to everything else.

Also next week I think I'll make an exciting announcement so stay tuned.

Peace out o7

The War Gets Hotter

Branching out, again...

With The Mittani's announcement that they were not invading Tenal, Raiden's home, but were instead just "playing around" it seems yet again Branch is the focus of another war. "Another" is perhaps the wrong description because since Goons began their Branch invasion in December the fighting around the region hasn't stopped but rather ebbs and flows in waves. Raiden are near unbeatable in their primary timezone, EU, with their enormous super capital fleet being far larger than what the CFC can field. It was theorised however that Raiden would not last with a war of attrition and so a month of raids into Raiden space began.

The theorists were correct and Raiden were beginning to lose interest, even so much as claiming Tenal is just a region they took to "rat" in and have no care for it. Well, that's the "didn't want that region" clause out the way. Several Tech moons and systems were taken in Raiden's prime time with little resistance. And then things got a little more interesting...

Raiden's ally The Initiative, and Initiative Mercenary's, began assaulting CFC member Spacemonkey's Alliance space with SBU's and constant hotdrops. This had the effect of forcing the CFC forces to temporarily hold all aggression in Tenal and work to save SMA. It was at this point when NCDot, a powerful Raiden ally, deployed back to their home region of Tribute to help Raiden. Unlike The Initiative NCDot is a serious threat and as such the CFC began calling for all hands on deck.

Hi ho, Hi ho, it's back up to Branch we go

TEST Alliance Please Ignore, and along with them Enlightened Industries, have therefore deployed to Branch in an effort to reinforce the EU timezone and provide much needed numbers in both countering the threat of NCDot and helping with aggression in Tenal.

For the past few weeks TEST had been resting in our home region of Fountain and were giving The G0dfathers a much needed pasting: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/alliance/The_G0dfathers - The slope isn't as big as we had hoped but a slope is still a slope. We killed all of GF's and GF's allies towers and really ground them down in their NPC systems. This deployment was fun, however, GF were never a serious threat and so our deployment felt more akin to kicking a disabled man out of a wheelchair and then proceeding to stamp on his face. ENL-I is a very bloodthirsty corp and so the news to move back up to Branch was receiving with shouts of "It's about F****** time!"

Our new deployment got off with a bang with the killing of not one, not two but three NCDot Titans (according to the recent intel leaks they didn't want those Titans anyway). Killmails:

1: http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12842852
2: http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12842432
3: http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12842464

The following few weeks promises to be very exciting indeed.

What has ENL-I been up to?

As I have already said TEST has been deployed for the past few weeks back in Fountain to rest and secure the region. After a week or so of smashing GF's into a pulp they pretty much went into hibernation, apart from one or two breakouts, and so action dried up considerably. My pilots were literally chomping at the bit to do something so I took advantage of the lull in action and organized our very own corp deployment.

I wanted something fun for ENL-I to do, something away from the sov warfare and from supercaps. Those of you who read EVESwarm may have seen an article I wrote about small-gang warfare in which I spoke about Syndicate. And so I got an office for ENL-I in a high-sec system neighbouring Syndicate, bought a ton of T1 cruisers and frigs and shipped them there. The plan was simple; give out free fully fit T1 cruisers and frigs and go and welp them in Syndicate, having as much fun as possible in doing so.

The plan was a success and we had a lot of fun. We even invited a unista to our fleet - who was in a bomber - and instructed him to bomb our fleet once we got into a scrap. Sure enough a few minutes later our T1 cruiser fleet was engaged with another T1 cruiser fleet on the gate when a unista bomber decloaks and proceeded to blow us all to hell. It was hilarious.

As fun as whelps can be I also wanted to do something a little more proper, and so we also ran Drake fleets out from Fountain and into Delve. The action was a bit thin on the ground - most of the residents evacuated when they heard Red Alliance was soon going to siege the region - but it was a brilliant way of testing our strength and doing something together as a corp. We also did some Black Ops work in Syndicate, dropping on our friends Agony at one point. Black Ops is fun as hell; we had a Black Ops Battleship which can "bridge" your cloaky ships to a covert cyno. I don't think there's anything funnier than seeing a small fleet engaging your ship, unbeknownst to them you're actually a "bait" ship fit with a cyno and suddenly 10 bombers and a mixture of covert cruisers come flying through. We made a few people mad to be honest

Changes to ENL-I communications / recruitment

Our very own web developer / genius Artemus Ward has been working his ass off in improving our entire communications infrastructure, and with it improving our recruitment procedure. He is currently writing an "Auth" system, similar to what TEST / Goons use, which will have a great many uses for corp members. For instance, members can apply to certain groups or request mentoring with just the click of a button. The Auth system will also dramatically reduce the workload of our officers and managers too. I could literally write an epic essay on how awesome our Auth is going to be but instead I'll simply say it'll help improve our members in-game time tremendously.

Just another week in ENL-I

Goodfites

The last week in March ended with a tremendous amount of fighting in and around Tenal. Raiden went all out in trying to defend their systems and Tech moons, bringing in many allies to help them do so. Raiden were there in their hellcat fleet (abaddons), Ev0ke/Ewoks were there in Drakes and INIT Mercs were there in I think Alpha fleet (Maels). The CFC turned up with one Alphafleet and several Drake fleets, with a bomber fleet to boot.

Raiden & co dropped carriers during the fighting in an effort to provide more logistic support but thankfully supercaps weren't. It was a really fun fight on both sides with plenty of killmails. One of my pilots got something like 250 kills in two days, including over a dozen capitals. We killed approx 20+ carriers during the last few days of March. There have been fleets up around the clock with every time zone being catered for. Most of the fighting was done in Euro TZ which happens to be Raiden's prime time, although quality fights have occurred outside of this.

MYKILLDEATHRATIO!

ENL-I isn't an elite PvP corp. We don't go bat-crap-crazy if you fit a T1 module. We have no minimal kill quota and we don't care about kill/death ratios. I do however enjoy looking at my killboard, and the alliance killboard, and EVE-Kill Caps for that matter, and looking at what's been happening. For example; I love checking the killboard in the morning to see if the USTZ peeps have had a busy night. As well as this I also enjoy seeing our killboard improve as each move progresses, and March was no different.

We finished March with 2,897 kills. We killed 48 carriers, 2 titans, 564 battlecruisers and 419 battleships. We finished the month 2nd, as usual, in TEST - 2nd to a 3500+ corp - and we had 4 ENL-I pilots in the alliance top 10 killers, with ENL-I sitting in both 1st and 2nd spot. 1st spot, Dmitri, wins himself 500 million ISK.

The Jita Riots

April 28th will see the CFC re-deploy to high-sec. Jita will become our home for a week or two, the goal of which is to kill everything. We are all arming our Tornado's and will be suicide ganking everything which undocks from Jita.

Legend has it several high-sec merc corps, such as Moar Tears, and other alliances such as RvB, will be wardeccing CFC alliances to kill us. Jita, soon, will burn and will become a hotspot for angry industrialists and confused miners. Can't wait!

The End is Nigh

Romper Stomper

The war in the North is over. To be honest it shouldn't be classified as a war as this would imply opposing sides tried to defend their space, which they didn't. Tenal was taken quicker than Branch was. I don't want this to come across as some chest-beating "lol we ownz u" kind of thing, because it isn't, it's just a statement of fact.

The could be many reasons why Raiden didn't defend their space. They have already claimed Tenal was just a nice region to rat in, nothing more, and that their home is in Vale. Fair enough. Their loss our gain I suppose. Tenal is rich in Technetium which, at least for the time being, will help with "pew pew" costs and of course the continuation of our super capital arming programmes.

Now what?

Can't say too much on this I'm afraid. Haaa Haa. I can say that after clearing up some business up North there will be another fun deployment happening which will hopefully result in some serious fighting. Although Tenal has had its moments with our enemy being predominantly EUTZ our USTZ people have had little to do, not to mention the fact that Raiden has barely shown. Our next deployment should be a lot more fun (with a lot less structure grind).

The Corp!

Everything is moving steadily forward as it has done for a while. Recruitment is still on going with plenty of unistas being brought into the mix. We are still doing corp ops albeit less of them at the moment due to the deployment. We are still working on many things, most centred around making ENL-I an even better home - difficult, I know.

We have recently implemented our new "Auth" system which greatly improves, well, practically everything out of game for the corp, For new recruits we now have a "queue" which indicates what position you're in and there is also a notes system so if your app is rejected you can see why. Speaking of applications, we've become a little more strict. I don't mean with skillpoint requirements or anything like that just rather the player himself. We often get applications from people who don't idle in our public channel, don't fill in the form properly and give wrong api keys. Generally speaking we are now auto-rejecting these applications; we put a lot of time and effort into recruitment, I don't think it's too much to ask for a properly filled out form?

And on that note, our official recruitment process is in place to protect YOU. In ENL-I we don't restrict any type of gameplay and this means we allow our members to scam. We do have guidelines, such as don't be overly horrible, but it's basically a free port over here. Scamming is a legitimate way of making ISK and although it's not my thing it's not my place to stop my members from doing it. As such, one of my members managed to scam not just 1 but 2 people out of a total of 25 billion ISK. Seriously.

Our guidelines on scamming are: No scamming current applicants, no scamming from a character with an official title (such as Recruitment Officer), plus some more. We literally get people convo'ing non-official recruiters in ENL-I asking to join. You're setting yourself up for a fall. Do it right or risk the consequences.

Corp sounds pretty sweet with lots of good fights and whatnot. Is there much on AU TZ presence within the corp though? I'm on the hunt to get back into an 0.0 corp and flying alongside TEST always proved fun - I just want to make sure there will be activity during *my* peak gaming time.

Sweet, got some more info about activity around my TZ :D

App sent! Time to play the waiting game :D

Everything will burnnnnn

Firestarter

Recently when I've been updating my members on what's happening now and in the future I've been using the word "burning" a lot. It struck me that we are actually arsonists, of the E- variety, and we enjoy seeing destruction. We recently burned Tenal to the ground, wrestling control of the region off of Raiden and giving it back to Razor. Then, due to NCDot breaking the "Bropact" (something to do with equal shares of Technetium moons in Venal) we went and burned NCDot assets in Venal to the ground. On top of this we're all preparing for the "Burn Jita" campaign, which begins on the 28th April, in which, yes you've guessed it, we'll be burning Jita to the ground.

And if that wasn't enough, TEST leadership declared some upcoming peacetime and ENL-I doesn't handle peacetime very well, we tend to start dithering like a smackhead without a hit. So, as usual, during peacetime I find something for the corp to do. For those of you who do not know, Delve right now is a veritable bonfire. Red Alliance, after being defeated by -A-, decided to relocate to Delve and take it as its new home. Some of the residents, including Nulli Secunda as their figurehead, decided they didn't want this to happen so have formed up and are assaulting Red Alliance. On top of this Pandemic Legion decided to jump into the frey killing all unmercifully - they've killed 2 x RA titans already. And so ENL-I, during this proposed peacetime, will be going to **** on this bonfire and generally annoy everyone. Fun times!

Corp Stuff

ENL-I is, as usual, as strong as ever. Recruitment continues to be steady, our industrial operations are doing well and our miners are heartily looking forward to the "drone nerf". For those of you who do not know, Inferno will bring with it a change to those rats called Drones; as of right now they do not have bounties but offer large amounts of minerals in their drops, in the form of alloys. There are some regions in nullsec which are called The Drone Lands and this is where a very large portion of minerals in the high-sec markets come from. This nerf will basically force prices of all minerals up.

Everything else is going well, fleet participation is as high as ever so I won't.... DRONE on about it...

E-Uni coming to Fountain!

Eve University has come to an agreement with TEST and they will soon be setting up their Null Sec Camp in NPC Fountain. I wrote an article on the affair, mostly due to the butthurt comments from some people, and you can read it here: http://eveswarm.com/2012/04/eve-university-the-fountain-of-dreams/

E-Uni will basically be providing the nullsec experience to its members thus adding to their repertoire. They will be blue to TEST and as such will be able to use our Jump Bridge network, our market stations and even use our jump freighter services. There will also be a lot to shoot too so they should have fun. As well as this some of the CEO's in TEST will be providing lectures to unistas on various aspects. I myself will be hosting a lecture on Life in Nullsec which will mostly cover the basics of staying safe, making money etc and I'll probably do a brief political update. This is penned in for 26th April at 09:00 EVE Time on E-Uni comms.

Burn Jita!

On the 28th April the entire CFC will be deploying to Jita with the intent of ganking everything that undocks and jumps into the system.

Why? Err... I guess because we can. Or, more accurately, because the leader of the CFC - The Mittani - told us to. He basically made a speech about burning everything, everyone pretty much went "yea sounds fun why not" and that was that. I guess we're just sheep. Well, sheep with big artillery cannons.

So I've personally set up two accounts for this, each account will have 3 characters able to fly a fully fit ganking Thrasher and Tornado. As soon as their security status becomes an issue I simply biomass, use a different character then retrain the empty slot. Schimples.

Everything will be a target and, due to the sheer amount of numbers, everything will die. Freighters, Orcas, everything. Can't wait!!

Small Update...

Business as usual

This weeks update will be brief.

The war in the North is officially over. We got a grand total of 3,101 kills during the campaign although to be fair a lot of that was structures. It was interesting to see how everyone coped with the aftermath - some alliances such as NCDot just kept their heads down and accepted it whereas some actually told their members they actually forced the CFC back and forced us to sign a new treaty. For those newbies reading this, this may not make a lot of sense, ~EVE politics~, but I always find it interesting how other alliances deal with political issues. Anyway, that's all over.

New deployment for TEST as a whole; Delve (they stole my idea man!). We are now blue with Pandemic Legion again and fully intend to have some fun in Delve. No structure shooting, just fights and hotdrops. We've already made Nulli Secunda mad.

The tax rate in ENL-I was set to 0% for this week, partly as a reward for us having record participation in the North and partly to give people more chance to make ISK to buy their Burn Jita and Delve Deployment shizzle. Aren't I a nice CEO? (wasn't my idea)

I'll end with... I'M SOOOO CLOSE TO GETTING MY TITAN!!!!!

As soon as their security status becomes an issue I simply biomass, use a different character then retrain the empty slot. Schimples.

You like do know this has been stated to be an exploit on many occasions by CCP right ?

An Update At Last...

Holy Batman!

Yes yes I know, I've not updated this in a while. We closed recruitment and I also got a job so I've been pretty knackered recently. The good news is I'm getting used to being up early again after being a dole scrounging scumbag for so long, so my writing will become active again.

You closed recruitment?!?! YOU BASTARD!

Yea yea, I know. We closed it for two main reasons, firstly we have grown so big - almost 350 members! - so we decided to take a break and let our newbies settle in. Secondly we deployed to Delve and Nulli Secunda went a bit slap happy trying to get spies in. So we closed recruitment.

It'll be reopening soon though chaps and chapettes, so don't worry!

What's been happening, yo?

We've been plodding along working hard as usual. PvP wise we are, as usual, constantly active. We now have quite a few FC's, 5-6 in TEST's FC Bootcamp and taking out alliance fleets, as well as a couple of others (inc me) who do only corp roams. I also do alliance fleets but it isn't often. So we have like 8-9 FC's in the corp which to be honest is pretty sweet. They're spread all over the timezones too.

I don't know if you guys saw but the other day a pretty big supercap fight occurred, which we were involved in. On our side was TEST (obviously) and Pandemic Legion. On our opposing side was Nulli Secunda and Black Legion. It was a right old scrap. PL lost a titan, a few carriers, and so did we (TEST). Nulli and Black Legion lost quite a large number of dreads and carriers, as well as a few supercarriers. Going off ISK value we lost the fight - that bloody titan was worth 75bil! - but, as I've often said before, losing can be just as much fun, if not more fun in some cases, than winning. What made this fight sweeter was one of ENL-I's own FCs Killerchief - yes, the little 12 year old whose balls have just dropped - who FC'd the Drake support fleet.

Our Industrial wing, or as we call them the House of Aurora, has been working hard too. They've been cranking our Dreads and Carriers to corp members and are also beginning to build supers. The corp is also subsidizing the Dreads too, knocking 250mil off them. I've given our Industrial Directors a request too: I want a station built! Soon, hopefully, Enlightened Industries will have its very own station!

Announcement!

I think I may have mentioned this previously... But I can't remember if I did or not. So here is our official announcement!

Enlightened Industries will soon be opening an academy!

lolwat

I've proclaimed my love for the newbro so many times before. I think they're lovely! My belief is that it is the first 2-3 weeks in EVE which are the most important and so by indoctrinating a player during that period means they'll be loyal and, most importantly, easily moulded into exactly what you want them to be.

And so we have created the Enlightened Academy. It will be based in a high-sec system which borders onto NPC nullsec, specifically Syndicate. We will be bringing in and accepting day old characters. They will be given a training plan which will last 1 month and will see them train into: Rifter, Blackbird, Maller, Rupture, Drake. All skillbooks, and PvP ships, will be provided for free. At the end of 1 month they will "graduate", so to speak, and will be allowed into ENL-I proper. They will also be given a second training plan which will see them move into a Maelstrom/Rokh, and then a specialised training plan of their choice - AHAC, Logi, Scout, FC etc. Again all skillbooks will be provided for free.

ENL-I pilots will be taking them out on roams regularly, most likely several times a day. We will go into Syndicate and welp. Over and over. There will be mission agents in the surrounding systems, from levels 1-4, for making ISK. Each new member will be given a free PvE ship.

This academy will serve two purposes; firstly, and most importantly, we'll be bringing in a healthy supply of fresh meat into ENL-I, new players who have gone through PvP training and will - hopefully - increase our strength. Secondly I also see this as a way of giving back to the game, giving new players a headstart, so to speak. Our academy will not be in conflict with any existing entity either: E-Uni is an "all round" teaching organisation whereas ours is specifically PvP. Dreddit/Goonwaffe recruit only from their respective forum communities and unlike RvB our newbros will be gearing up for Sov warfare.

There's still a lot of work to do on this so we're looking, hopefully, for a summer grand opening. I want to get our Wiki up and ready, with all of the skill plans on there etc. I'm also looking for an "Acting CEO", someone who can keep a close eye on it when I'm not around - and I think I may have found one. There's a lot to set up but I think it'll be worth it

Bow Chikah Waaa waaaa

So I'm back baby yea! Expect more regular updates. Expect my blog on www.ENL-I.com to be populated more regularly, and EVESwarm will also see some articles hit it.

Booooya!

Recruitment Reopened!!

Yes yes, calm down children

Recruitment has been reopened! Our deployment in Delve has been extended and, placing our confidence in our stringent security checks, we have reopened recruitment to give you people a chance to witness the fighting first hand. Feel free to drop by our public channel ENL-I for a chat.

The fighting...

We've been doing a fair bit of fighting this past week. Yesterday saw an amazing fight: We were in a Drake fleet, the enemy had 3 fleets (Abaddons, Tempests and Nagas) and we were seriously outnumbered. Shadoo from Pandemic Legion was our FC. Seeing that many hostiles on field and being so outnumbered was a little nerve wracking but Shadoo kept his cool. He knew completely how to fight each of their differing fleets and how to get their numbers to work against them. So we engaged the Tempests first; they were Autocannon fit, so close range, so we kept our range and pummelled them. The nagas were getting into range so we kept moving, keeping them out of serious damage range.

There was some crafty manoeuvres going on, them getting warp ins on us, us on them, it was pretty exciting. We had a spy on their comms who called on our comms whoever they primaried, giving our guys a split second to call for shields before being hit. It was very fast paced. Then the hellcats came in. We were losing a lot of ships but we were killing a lot too. With 3 hostile fleets on field we moved away, warped off to a safe spot and called for reinforcements. I reshipped in 1DH, got back to KFIE on the Titan and then another 50-60 or so of us who had reshipped joined back in the fray. Then we started brawling again, keeping at a distance from the hellcats and tempests and getting up close and personal with the nagas.

At one point we got a warpin at zero on the nagas, who were long range fit. "Bubble now!" Shadoo screamed, and the bubbles went up and carried on going up in the direction they were aligning to. "Freefire, A-Z". The nagas were decimated, the remnants left the field and left the fight. One fleet down, two to go. We warped back in on the hellcats and started dealing some damage. With the nagas gone we could more effectively control our range in our trusty drakes, the high dps tempests and abaddons not being able to get into their optimal range on us. We really laid into them and before long they left the field.

We were outnumbered and seriously outgunned. It goes to show just how much a good FC can turn the tide. Battle report found here: https://kb.pleaseignore.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=447354 - you'll also notice ENL-I had 17 people in fleet which was satisfying to see. This was in AUTZ, not even our strongest and yet we're still putting in good numbers into fleets.

More updates

We're still moving forward as usual. Trying to get people into dreads (building them for them with 250mil discount), helping people into carriers, working on the academy and trying not to cause too much drama. We're having a laugh and enjoying ourselves. No CTAs, no harsh rules, just lots of fun. We're loving being in TEST.

Oh, and we just took second spot on TESTs all time corp killboard! Not bad for 6 months work? Linky: https://kb.pleaseignore.com/?a=alliance_detail&all_id=499&view=corp_kills

The drums of war; they are a beating

Recruitment Drive

As mentioned in my last update we have reopened recruitment. Our glorious alliance leader, Montolio, as requested all member-corps do recruitment drives. Rumour has it we're going to war. We are already on deployment but it seems we want more death and destruction to satiate our demonic appetites. ENL-I has grown consistently since we arrived in TEST and we have been rewarded with many money making moons to help buy new shinies and offer more rewards to our members. It's very satisfying to be recognised and rewarded.

And so, recruitment! We typically grow steadily, bringing in 2-4 people a week. Now we want to increase that, so as of right now our minimum SP limit has been dropped to 3mil.

But the newbies! How will they cope in nullsec! Fear not my worried chums, one of my directors is working on the "money making" section of our Wiki specifically geared towards helping lower SP characters make money out here. Even day old characters can make isk out here, especially with an entire corp helping them.

Capital Drive

It's not just newbies we're recruiting; did you know we have a large capital fleet, and growing super capital fleet? We use them too. In Delve we have been doing a lot of capital ops which range from triage-carrier tower saves, dread tower bashes, tracking dread blapfests (dreads fit with tracking enhancers, and sebos, used to decimate subcap fleets) as well as supercapital escalations. There is a Ship Replacement Policy for capitals too, so if you lose that shinie you'll get a huge isk reimbursement.

But they're so expensive? ORLY?! Well, I guess it's a good job that as an ENL-I member you'll not only get a huge alliance subsidy but a generous help from the corp too. Dreads work out pretty cheap for our members. All we ask is you follow the TEST skillplan and get "TEST skilled". Our members usually just buy a capital char from the character bazarr; a nice dread character costs 8-15bil isk, which for some of our pilots is only a few weeks worth of ratting.

So, unlike a lot of alliances in nullsec, having a capital in ENL-I you'll actually get to use it, in PvP. We roll with Pandemic Legion nowadays who, as you may know, like to drop caps a lot. We like to drop with them. It's serious fun.

Oh, and it's quite a sight to behold seeing 20+ carriers undocking carrying everyones ships, taking them to our new deployment zone.

What have we been up to?

Having some big fights in Delve, that's what! Things certainly got more interesting around here a week or so ago. One of our allies, The 99%, decided to **** on everyones chips in Delve and they went and SBU'd the entire region! (an SBU makes a system vulnerable to attack). This ruffled Nulli Secunda's and Red Alliance's feathers and they were forced to defend their space.

One fight which I was on that was unbelievably epic: Shadoo was FC (from PL). We had a drake fleet of approx 130. Our enemy? 3 fleets numbering over 350, a fleet of Tempests, a fleet of Armageddons and a fleet of sniper Nagas. Most FCs would run but Shadoo has huge balls and took us in. "Let's go welp and have some fun" he said. Let me tell you something, when you're outnumbered over 2 to 1 and outgunned it takes some amazing FC'ing to turn the tides, and that's exactly what we got. Shadoo managed to keep the two battleship fleets out of range whilst also moving out of the sniper nagas range. It was a real tug of war, with warpins meaning their close range battleships got on top of us to which we had to burn away, then we'd warp in on the nagas etc. It was like this for a good 20 minutes.

At this point we had inflicted a fair amount of damage against the 3 fleets but not enough to force their retreat. Our fleet however had sustained severe losses. Did we retreat? No, we called for reinforcements, and for those who died to reship. 10 minutes later, with our battered fleet in the battlezone warping from safe spot to safe spot, reinforcements landed on the titan, bridge in, and our numbers had replenished to the tune of 150. Our enemies however hadn't reshipped. We warped back into the frey, firstly right on top of the naga fleet. The warpin was perfect, the dictors bubbled their alignment point. "Free fire, kill these ***** **** *****". Let me tell you something, landing on sniper tier 3 battlecruisers at 0 with good bubbles means a lot of wrecks. We decimated their entire sniper fleet in minutes. 1 fleet down, 2 to go. At some point an AAA Tengu fleet arrived, but, as usual, after losing a couple they ran away.

Fortunately the range of a drake is 50-60km compared to a range of 30-40km on those close range battleships. We sent our hero dictors in, bubbled them up and popped them from afar. The carnage was glorious. Before long they retreated. The fight lasted for well over 30 minutes, we lost a huge amount but also killed a huge amount, but more importantly we won the strategic objective - which, to be honest, I can't remember what it was!

There's been a fair amount of fighting in Delve today. Here's just one: https://kb.pleaseignore.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=451839

I also got to take my dreadnought out for a spin, bashing a couple of towers. My heart began to race when a neutral appeared in local, was hoping we would be hotdropped (I had my drugs so I could tracking-blap!).

Recruitment is steady. We've brought in a spate of high-SP players this week, one of which had over 120mil SP! Alright for some eh?

Exciting shizzle incoming!

PvP? Oh go on then!

I like talking about PvP. I am a PvPer after all!

We're still in Delve, the war seems to be escalating. Nulli are calling in on their allies for reinforcements and it seems the bloodshed will continue. As usual we're second on the TEST killboard top10 for this month by a wide margin. What is interesting however is I just went and nosy'd over on EVE-Kill and according to them for their Top 20 corps in June ENL-I is number 8! I guess in the grand scheme this doesn't mean a great deal but it certainly gave me the chufties. Linky: http://eve-kill.net/?a=top20

ENL-I now has approx 7-9 FC's in TEST's FC Bootcamp. These are FC's who are leading alliance roams. This is a pretty good number and I think it's evidence that we do everything to encourage our pilots to FC and reward them when they do so. Here is a little run down on what we do:

- We offer encouragement and support to those who show interest in FC'ing. We allow anyone to do corp roams whether they've been in the corp for a day or a year, or if they're a newbro or a vet. We don't discriminate.
- We reward our FC's with 100 Million ISK for each fleet they lead if they write an After Action Report (AAR).
- We offer a corp Ship Replacement Policy (SRP) for any corp fleet taken out.

We've taken the pressure off our budding FC's by reimbursing any losses, so if they welp it's no big deal. Our goal here is to give people the confidence to take a fleet out and, assuming they enjoy it, they then go and join the FC Bootcamp and progress from there.

Corp Updates

We have SOV! Yes, that's right, we took our own Sov in Delve. Troll sov like, but sov nonetheless.

We have a load of exciting announcements to make soon! Lots of changes coming in, new PvP prizes, new and improved Dread subsidy, + loads more.

We're getting Titans soon! Yes that's right, soon we'll have the EU and US TZ covered with our own corp Titans. I'll be one of the ones getting one, I'm pretty excited!

Academy Updates

ENL-I Academy is aiming to go live mid-July!

We're working hard on getting our ENL-I Wiki operational with all the information our newbies need to get started. We have someone working on the ISK making section, because we care about our members' wallets. We have someone making sexy images of ships and ship fittings, because we care about making things easy to understand to our newbies. And last but not least we have someone working on a complete skill training plan to get our newbies into all the ships we need them in, because we care about our newbies!

We're dumping billions of isk right now into ships and fittings which we'll be giving away to our members for free, to take out on roams.

We're also getting the Academy leadership into place. Acting CEO will be Shenjo who will be handling the day-to-day activities with me acting as his overlord. We also have FCs volunteering to take roams out regularly. Our Mentor team will also be idling in our "shared" in-game channel so our Academy newbies can directly ask their questions in-game and receive expert (lol) help.

The Academy people will share ENL-I forums and also ENL-I comms.

We're really going balls to the wall in creating this Academy and I know because of it ENL-I will grow with quality homegrown pilots who will make me proud.

Suffice to say, I'm enjoying EVE right now!
