Why Can't I Underheat?

Currently we can overheat mods, why can't we underheat them to use less energy and do less?

For example, underheating an invul would use 20% less power and give 10% less hardening.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

*sigh*...

It's actually not too bad of an idea. Seems like it would be more directed at Amarr. Still...needs expanding on but it would be a cool option I think.

How would you do something similar for missiles?

Would be too much effort to just shut off one hardener or gun.

I for one would believe would make a game a wee bit 'harder' to play for something nobody is interested in these days.

You know, as much as Masternerdguy is a troll
or so idiotic as to be indistinguishable from a troll
He does have a point.

It would be cool if we could "reroute power"
IE do less damage but tank more.
So you take penalties to weapon damage but get a buff to shield/armor resists.
Or the reverse, or put all it into max velocity or something like that.

There is a fine line between a post and a signature.

Switch all power to forum troll deflector shields.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

it'd be kind of fun to be able to divert power from say your lowslot modules to your highslots instead of flat out overheating like we do now.

Want that extra RoF or Damage? your going to have to loose some tank to do it.

I lied :o

Reversing polarity is a sci-fi STAPLE and I fully and unironically support it.

Example:

Reverse polarity on webs to make target go faster
Reverse polarity on warp disruptor to increase warp stability on target
Reverse polarity on shield boosters to convert shields to capacitor

Shut up and take my money.

Um. Isn't this sort of the point of T1 vs T2 modules? They use less power/cpu and are generally less effective (officer and deadspace of course can be far superior to T2 and there are a few named mods that match T2 specs of course but still...)
