Another one bites the dust!

I liked this game at first. Then I thought i liked this game. Then tried to like this game. Now I just don't like this game. Pay attention to you entry level missions CCP. The scaling is ridiculous. It took just one mission to ruin this game for me and after much research it seems I have more of these bullshit , isk eating, ship destroying, time comsuming, over tuned level 2 missions to look forward to . If i keep playing.

In game chat , you get nothing but ridicule. even in rookie chat , if you ask for help. All you get is " read the objectives,,blah blah blah"

I have no probs reading objectives and have completed every mission i accepted until now. All the forums say is to stay away from the mission or to spend 20m isk to buy and fit a Cruiser. After this mission has wasted all my time and isk. There is no way im gonna mine or do level 1 missions just to lose it all again on more bullshit missions.

Sorry to hear that the mission went badly for you, I would say stay on though as the game can get really enjoyable later.

The missions get more interesting up to level four. When you grow bored of just normal missioning you can move onto the epic arcs or incursions for more tricky PVE.

If you want information about the missions you're running check this website http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports if no one has linked it to you before it has information on most of the games missions.

You may also want to check what ships and fittings are good for missions.
A nice place to ask for help would be EVE University as well, they're great people who help many new players learn and move towards what they want to do in EVE.

What Turelus said.

Also I'd like to add that you can look at the Eve University Wiki site for ship fits to help you survive. If you decide to stay hooking up with the Uni can make your game experience much better and they have lots of helpful people, including one-on-one mentors, who can help you get the most out of New Eden.

Where? can you post link? I am intrigued. I sure hope it has a player base that will ridicule new players into leaving.

Yes Ill admit this game has beaten me into submission. That is why I stated another one bites the dust. This game intrigued me and I wish I knew about it earlier. My impression is that the player base is set in its ways, and is happy cannibalizing itself.

CCP is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Make it more accessible to new players or keep its 5,000 active players, who manage 5 accounts each, happy.

Honestly, coming to the forums to complain, did you expect a better reception? Which mission was it? Do you actually want any help or are you already out of the door and dropping a whine thread on your way out?

Yes this game is harsh, and there are many tards that play it, much like every MMO I've played.

But one tough mission and you are out?

Seriously do you expect anything else when you make a whine post instead of " ok i lost my ship (here is fitting) to XXX my skills are (link to eveboard) can you guys help me? what do i need to fix to make sure this doesnt happen again?"

or something.

make a constructive post and you get constructive responses (and a few trolls) make a whine post we all read to death and couldnt care less if you stay or not... and well this is what you get. Im surprised you even got a few helpful posts to be honest.

Thank you for the advice. I have checked up my mission using the link and it seems I am outta my league. Even though I have completed all other missions in my Desi the comments on this page suggest I use a fully loaded Rupture or Drake. The players also had 2m skill points and i only have 900,000.

I have 21 days left on my sub. I haven't quit the game yet but it is looking likely i will. Thank you for that link. I ll use it before accepting any other level 2 quests from now on.

I am gonna go mine Veld for a couple days so I can afford a ship and try this game one more time.

Also get into a friendly corp that would help you out. Eve can be a rough place for new players.

Good to hear! EVE can be a rough place at times but the memories you can make here are fantastic!

GL on your future adventures and remember it's always fine to ask questions or post asking for advice. You WILL get the trolls and people who just like to be mean reply but the game has plenty of helpful people as well.

If you cant get over the concept that loosing a ship is the end of the world than this game is not for you. Loosing ships is part of the game, like it or not.
Also.... missioning is 10% of what EVE has to offer

I'm glad youre trying again. Eve wore me down to start with, but once you get chatting to real people (nice ones) and find an activity to enjoy it can be a great game.

Yes, annoyingly, you will have to grind money to get a new ship/fitting for the tougher levels. But thats the nature of every game, you wouldnt play any other mmo or even a single player rpg and try play every mission in your level 1 gear.

Stick with it and find your niche. Ignore people who dont help, but for every 10 people who give you pointless advice, one will link to something invaluable.

The EVE learning curve working as intended Twisted

protip: if those "helpful" corps that contacted you ask you for money to join, give it to them as it's totally worth it.

I miss seeing that learning curve chart, the sad part is it's quite true.

tbh there is some lvl 2 and lvl 3 missions that should be toned down but even missioning its not impossible to lose ships to there has to be risk at some point concentrate on needed skills and keep going we all lose ships to missions occastionaly just gotts buck up and get on with it

Eve isnt for everyone i guess...

I found Eve much more fun in early days because there was that "i almost got it" moment.
And those "uuu i can almost buy my arbalest launcher and then i can hurt that battleship ship in mission..."

Nowdays when I can afford almost everything those moments are basically gone Evil

If u cant enjoy those moments -> then really it mite be wise to look for another game.

I.

P.S.

Most corps u join will not mind giving you some starters cash / ships if you really need it.
