Assuming an eWar revision is in the works: Base stats at least equal to T1 and a tad more survivability is "all" they need, be it lowered signature, increased resists or something along those lines.

One of the big problems they have, or rather why I gave up flying them, is that cruiser (ie. omni-present tier2 BCs) guns track almost perfectly thanks to shield-buffer paradigm. Stay at range and get ignored, go closer and get roasted or go under the guns and get neuted/webbed/scrammed.

According to CCP's snapshot they did a while ago of ships being actively flown, EAFs were at the bottom of the list, right after titans. Make them useful.
