New characters are unsearchable.

Both my new character here and my friend's newest character are both unsearchable, mine is only about 24h old but his is about 72h old. when looking up the name in People & Contacts it keeps returning an error for "not found."

Yep, me too. I think the database doesnt update fast enogh

I am having the same issue. Over 48 hours now and still can't give them a contract.

This issue occurs if a new corp is created as well.
You can't link it and you can't find it through people&places interface until a DT is passed.

I assume that it's applied to new characters too: 72 hrs + 1 downtime.

I don't know if it's intended or not, but I agree that is annoying.
Anyway, thanks to CCP for the new people&places interface and for the new people&places search mechanics that brought new issues.
