When you guys brought this up at fanfest I got super pumped... I'm envisioning Unreal Tournament 2k4's backstory happening in EVE and it would be amazing.

I really want to know your thoughts on how this will be implemented, I really hope to see it become a very serious E-sports type thing, similar to the alliance tournament.

In-between "alliance tournament-like events" is the regular season where teams compete, possibly moving from trade hub to trade hub like an actual tournament circuit, different trade-hubs having different maps or themes, like only amarr weapons in amarr or something dumb ;)

Could have different tournament styles in the future but I imagine it would be a bit difficult now to make maps for 1v1's, team deathmatch, vehicles, etc

Just really curious to hear what everybody else thinks

I will become addicted to this like I was to blink, and then lose all my money again and be forced to stop.

Spent around 3.8B with them and won about 8B of stuff. Some are lucky some don't but at first don't spent what you can't afford to loose Lol

Hey CCP,

Hope you're paying attention.

This is a wicked good way to put to use the "walk in stations" bit that you put so much love into. Imagine a bunch of swagly dressed pod pilots gathered around in a viewing room, fancy cocktails in hand, watching a Dust-tournament play out on which billions have been bet.

Seems relatively easy to implement, and taxes could make for a much needed ISK sink.

Thoughts?

I can see it now. A bunch of looking-glass monocle guys sitting at the bar with a martini (shaken, not stirred) in hand.

You mean:

-a trading room? -ok if I can gank them in station with my armored uber elite planet soldier and if I can buy some sort of double scoop mega hand-plasma sniper with radioactive ammo mwahahahaaaaaaaa !!

-casino room? -why not but not a player lottery stuff, something that makes isk disappear when you loose instead of making older players richer than they uselessly already are.

Thing is that if you accept to enter those rooms you should accept that you might get killed and loose your clone with it's implants and yadayada because Eve is an harsh world and you have to adapt or die, right?

Also this. I want to stop my Eve accounts, sell my toons and send all my isk to my planet soldier. Play something less time consuming because some nerds playing all day long set the rules and soon enough I'll not be able to play with anything else than 50 million Rifters (unfitted of course)

Since I will not need all my sp to fly frigates online I don't see any reason why should I spend money for a game I can't play all day long if I want to buy a cruiser that will be insta pop by a gang of 3 frigs and.... Lol

Eve is cool but well, it's turning bad because of good ideas being badly implemented. Makes me think about Concord, it's a good thing as idea but in practice it's 100% crap.

I beklieve you just right click on a battle happening on a planet, in eve, and you get a real time Picture in picture feed of the battle, then you can bet on who will win, or use your sky recon to voice chat back to the planet whats going on.

Which is evil and awesome.

I will make a pet dust bunny, and I will name him George, and I will hug him and squeeze him and throw him into the arena.
