suggestion 1

when items go into NPC corp station hangars.

they auto repackage themselves. if the item is damaged, it will popup for confirmation to repair item. if item is refused repair by player, it will remain as UNPACK.

items will auto stack instead of requiring player intervention.

items icon currently have a top left icon stating T1 / T2 / T3 status

i like to suggest

ALL items in EVE have the following classification in icon

top left indicator/corner stub

T1 meta 1-xx (white stub + number, apply to ships as well esp faction) faction ship be assigned letters.
T2 (yellow stub + number)
T3 (orange stub + number)

top right indicator/corner stub
high slot (red)
mid slot (green)
lo slot (blue)
rigs (purple)
T3 mods for T3 ships carry T3 stub + orange stub on top right

inventory sorting carry new sorting format to sort according to above stub colors.
inventory sorting also carry 1 additional secondary sort order to 1-mass, 2-size m3,

so after sorted to color (left/right stub), within color grp it is sorted to mass/size

When looking at ship item, if fitted on a ship.
It changes the stat in item info, but we have now way to see other than knowing base % by heart.

it seem if changed skill in item info fitted to a ship would lit up in a different color, like yellow, or red/green or yellow, it would be a lot least confusing for newer player when trying to compare stats with non fitted items.

thx

Also, when naming the Salvaging stat, in Salvagers, and Salvage Tackle Rig, also Poteque 'prospector' salvaging SV-905 implant:
access difficulty bonuses should either:

a suggestion into RUN corp chat:

A-use the phrasing 'Ease of Access Bonus' instead, cause currently the more % you have, the easier it gets to access the wreck, not the more difficult.

or
B- turn stat negative, cause the more you have of access difficulty, the more ease you get at salvaging, which doesnt make any sense unless the numbers are negative or the stat be called 'Access Ease Bonus'

thx

ISSUE: Mousing over Blueprints in station provides totally useless popup text.
FIX: Mouseover provides useful information such as ME/PE levels and runs remaining.

Conclusion: Many happy industrialists.

Issue: Difficult to navigate between containers.

Fix: allow containers to be accessible via a sidepane of tabs, almost like the current tabbed windows... but arranged vertically. First tab would be the top level hangar floor, the other tabs would be all assembled containers within that hangar floor.

Also, make the UI backend workable through a user modifiable XML front end, like addons for World of Warcraft, or photoshop, or firefox, or any number of successful apps.

Request for New Item.

Giant Standard Container
Huge Standard Container

This item needs to have a modified repackaged size of about 10% original size. To make the container essentially collapsible. This would greatly fix my inventory issues and allow the shipment on empty containers to be moved at a greatly reduced expence.

My business needs cardboard boxes and tape guns. Current packaging soulutions are costly in size and money.

I'm currently very happy with the window-stacking and inventory sorting functionality. I just reinstalled after a long hiatus, and it only took me 3-4 minutes to get every window positioned and stacked just the way I like it.

ISSUE: Station containers are unweildy and their contents cannot be searched or used directly in manufacturing and research.
SOLUTION: Either make station containers searchable and industry friendly, or replace them with a filter/tag/folder/etc system.

On the other hand, my overview settings took a bit more effort. Here are a few things I've noticed:

ISSUE: When importing/exporting the overview settings, the checkboxes under the Overview Settings -> Appearances tab, are not saved.
SOLUTION: Provide the option to save and import them.

ISSUE: Under the Overview Settings -> Filters -> Types tab, the tooltips for each item simply repeat the item name. For instance, hover over Asteroids -> Bistot will give a tooltip that says "bistot". While this isn't a serios issue for asteroids, there are many celestials, entities, orbitals and structures whose names are not self explanatory. This can be very confusing, especially to the newer players.
SOLUTION: Make tooltips that give useful information. They don't need to be complete tutorials, but a short explanation would help.

A couple notes on the new neocom (which I like) and mining drones.

ISSUE: The new neocom has no pop-up or tooltip to let you know that all of the unused buttons are hiding in a menu under the "E" icon. I didn't know where any of that stuff had gone until I had to go to the help channels.
SOLUTION: Add a neocom tutorial? If this tutorial exists, then it didn't appear for me.

ISSUE: If mining drones deplete an asteroid, there is no "asteroid depleted" message.
SOLUTION: Add an "asteroid depleted" message for mining drones.

As someone in charge of fitting hundreds of ships a week (yes, literally), I fully endorse this suggestion:

Two step wrote:
Issue:

Saved fittings don't:
A) remember to fit rigs
B) Fit ammo to guns/cargo, even if you get it in the saved fitting.
C) Remember and re-create weapon groups.

If I have a saved fittting, and I have *all* the stuff I need to fit up a fresh hull, it is stupid that there are 2 steps that I must do in station (A and B) and one more than can be done in station or in space.

FIX: The "Fit" button fits all modules, rigs, ammo (loaded or in cargo), drones, etc to the current ship.

Basically, I'd like to see the fitting window do the following based on the saved fitting:

1.) Fit modules
2.) Group weapons
3.) Fit rigs
4.) Load ammo into weapons
5.) Load ammo into cargo (eg, alternate ammo types, reloads, etc)
6.) Name ship

2ND ISSUE: It is a severe pain to create several hundred contracts for pre-fitted ships. Currently, you can "copy" a contract, but it doesn't actually fit the ships at all.

FIX: Allow "copy contract" to actually use fitted ships, creating an exact copy of the contract provided you have the fitted ships in your inventory.

These two ideas would make my life about 397% easier, and allow me to continue providing pre-fitted ships to the Meatgrinder (RvB) while also being able to partake in some spaceship destruction, myself.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. …"

ISSUE: Lots of ways to get to some of the same information. Adding to UI complexity. Assets / Items / Inventory
SOLUTION: All things can be considered assets, personal assets, corporate assets. Integrating this such that possible highlighting can be done, to illustrate assets jump distance. I believe sort and search as others have request would be easier to implement, and also more useful. In managing large operations it would be nice to make large scale decisions on asset movement.

It is a stretch and very vague of a description... Sorry, possibly, just enhance the assets functionality to allow me to do the same functions to assets that I am in station with. In fact I should check to see if it doesn't already... :-)

Make more things quickbar-addable. (make it useful)

-Drag systems/stations into the quickbar for quick set-autopilot clickage on common destinations (home station comes to mind, as well as your favorite trade hub). Same with bookmarks.(no more fumbling for that quick-warp bookmark on undock!) left click brings up a "show info" screen on whatever it is.

- Drag Assembled ships to your quickbar for quick access when docked(from hangar AND assets windows), and make it so you can set destination to them for autopilot, on top of being able to access the various compartments on board. Left clicking this should bring up the fitting. Got a ship that you just love to fly, or that your FC constantly wants you in? Hotlink it.

Speaking of which, make linked fittings show up in the same fashion as the new killmails. I hate trying to interpret just what a X2000 Colon Obliterator is when sharing fits.

-Drag market orders into the quickbar to keep an eye on their progress. a completion bar, a-la windows 7, would be nice too. see just how much veldspar's left on that order. left clicking would bring up the order on the market.

really, there's no reason not to...

Problem:

I have to sift through a mother F76%$$ mess of modules to find that ONE module that actually fits on my mother &^%%^ ship!!!

I say &^%% that!!!

The Mother &^%^& solution to the inventory UI

ALLOW modules to be selected RIGHT from the FITTING window, The high slots will NEVER be able to fit any MID slot modules so I DON"T NEED TO SEE ANY MID SLOT MODULES!

example:

1. Place your mother *&^%& mouse over a high slot in the mother F&*(() fitting window
2. click on the empty slot to open a browse window.
3. Select the mother F*&^^*) module from a list that can actually fit there.

If I can't fit it there dont mother f&*(())) show it to me!

It's mother F&^^(( awesome! WIN!

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

F11 - make the bottom solar system top down map its own seperate window that can be dragged and resized.

Ditch the other 2 or just add them to the "Show info" windows for system and constellation. Do they have a purpose other than asthetics?

F10 Both world map and solar sytem maps should be seperate windows that can be dragged and resized. Add keyoard shortcuts for zoom in, zoom out, jump to present location on the solar system map. Each map should also have seperate keyboard shortcuts.

F10 world map - "Jumps in the last hour" uses a color coding system. Use the sphere system like is currently implemented for "Pilots in space in the last hour"

Brackets in space settings - Make states dependant on friend or foe. EG I want to see all ships (friend and foe) but only enemy drones. Currently not possible

Brackets in space - have an option to only show brackets in space that are within the range you have set in your D-Scan.

Brackets in space. The selected item has a square white box around it. Make it something more distinctive and recognizable as we already have a white square icon for stations

Also an off screen selected item will "stick" to the edge of the screen which is good as it shows you where you have to turn to see it but this does not work with moons. Moons are important to PvPers. We want to quickly find them to do 5 degree scans on them to see if the Mach on scan is out in space or inside pos shields

The whitle circling arrows around your locked and selected item (and its bracket in space) is so ghetto and 1990's. Overhaul / update it with something snazzy.

Chat - have an option for "Press enter to chat" . Especially now that we have keyboard shortcuts

Sort out keyboard shortcuts not working when windows other than the overview are selected.

Much clearer indication of the active window. EG Select "Local". One of the border lines will get a little bit thicker. Make it go green or something

Audio feedback - a beep or something - when you double click in spac. Easy to do an inadvertent double click when in a laggy fleet fight which can spell your death if current orders are to align somewhere else. H

Almost everyone has mentioned cusomizable tags for inventory management so I would make this your top priority.
