NEW EDEN FREELANCER ASSOCIATION

You wanna play EVE with likeminded people across all timezones without ever getting wardecced again?

NEFA is the solution you are looking for!
Join the ingame chat channel "NEFA" to join us!

It's really that simple!

What is NEFA?

NEFA is an independent association leaving the mechanics of ingame player corporations and alliances behind. Our goal is to create a community of independet pod pilots, who aren't a member of a player corporation, but nevertheless are an organized community of people playing together and profiting from each other.

What is the advantage?

CCP made it clear on fanfest: if you don't wanna get wardecced, don't be in a player corporation.
So let's create a community without the biggest drawback of a player corporation: the wardec system.

You can still get the biggest benefit of a MMO - playing together with others - without being in a player owned corporation!
We can have an ingame chat-channel, voice-comms, forums, operations, a "home-system" etc. without that!

With NEFA you can still:

  • chat with likeminded people ingame or on voice-comms*
  • hang around with others in the same system, to fly with them
  • do operations together with others for mining, missions, incursions or whatsoever
  • be part of a real organisation, who takes care of its members
  • have access to a forum, to get to know other NEFA members and share your ideas*
  • get help as a new player in the world of new eden from experience player

I truly believe, that there are enough people who play this wonderful MMO just for the purpose of carebearing without being forced to deal with pvp situations. NEFA won't protect you from getting ganked in high-sec, but it will protect you from ever getting wardecced again.

At the moment NEFA is nothing else, than an idea and an ingame chat channel, with one person in it (that's me) who don't ever wants be wardecced again by anyone.

Join NEFA now to make it worthwhile to stay in NPC corporations to avoid any wardec situation.

Plans for the near future:

To make it possible to grow a community of likeminded freelancing pod pilots, NEFA will get also a forum and voice-comms asap. NEFA will be run totally on donations and by the help of others.

Let's us become the biggest independet force of players in New Eden!

Once you know the game mechanics, then war decs become less scary... :) how else do you think so many of us do fine roaming around in hostile space every day?, flying through low sec... null sec and so on

Which reminds me...

When are we going to tax item sales for the players in NPC corps at the same rate that rewards and bounties are taxed currently???

Yeah nice idea (/sarcasm) but they also said that if players come up with other avoidal systems like NPC corps then they would consider nerfing them too.

I hope CCP's war dec plans are polished in a way that works for all. By that I mean NPC corps are a crappy solution to war. I don't want to see immunity to war as a default option.

That said I do not beleive that creating a simple pay-to-grief is the answer. From what I have read it sounds like things are headed in the right direction.

If people flock to NPC corporations to escape wars, it will simply lead to an increase in suicide-ganking. As long as we can fire guns in high-sec, there's no real escape.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

As long as you can maintain organisational cohesion I dont see why this wouldnt work. Might be very easy to penetrate though, unless you take some security measures before granting access to chat channels and comms. But then again, maybe a penetration isnt a very big threat in the first place.
