Actually the goon is correct - an ISK sink is created when ISK leaves the game - not when it is recycled.

Love the concept though - but then the implant would have to be player generated, which leads to bps, skills and materials. This I would love to have WHEN the basic stuff gets sorted like POSes, minerals, buffs and nerfs for both ships and mods.

Possibly not the right forum area?

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

It's not an ISK sink. No ISK leaves the economy.

******* retards

So the 500 mil or so ISK I give to Sansha's Nation every few weeks to buy slave implants to sell in Jita magically reappears somewhere else? I'd love to know where!

As for the idea itself, I think it'd be great if pod salvage was like ship salvage and there was a new class of items that could only be made using it. If implants become retrievable though the value of pirate LP will crash.

however, guy who said remove clone upgrades and cost stuff... yes please.. it should be our clone is updated for a month or something, no need to upgrade clone after you die, just once month, with a mail reminding you that you have 3 days, 2 days, 1 day, expired.

It could be something new, no need to recreate exactly what comes from LP. Call them t3 implants for lack of a better term.

Eve does have those other ancient races that have hardly been touched lore wise, Talocan, Takawhatever and yinyang-poontang or whatever it is. Lots of options.

it wouldn't make sense if you could just fly up to a corpse and suck the implants out of its head, it would have to be done through a stations service

While adding new skills is always fun, perhaps adding corpses to station processing would be better. I vote that corpses can be rendered into implant salvage and "Strange Meat"

I know during fanfest CCP Soundwave and a few others mentioned how they do not like the setup with Medical and Jump Clones and it is something they love to give a overhaul.

So with that in mind you never know

How the **** can a developer not like their own product ? Shocked

After nearly a decade, you would of thought something would already been done to "update" the clone system aside from changing prices. I dread the day I forget and lose several weeks worth of time I had already paid for with real cash, its not like you can pay that cash and still play the game after six months but you haven't popped a skill at all during that that time while you can't really do anything in a newb ship with 900k / 55k SP (Monthly sub = use of server + SP aquirement in my opinion as its pointless to pay to play a game you can't really do much in a Velator alone).

You must save a lot of money, not having to buy gasoline, since you're using that good ol horse and buggy.

edit - Think I may have misunderstood your intent, my apologies, if not, enjoy the horse ride.

Go all the way.

Remove all (or most) NPC sold/dropped/supplied implants and move as much of it as feasible into the player driven industry.
Salvaging a corpse in space has a :
- Small chance to extract a full implant.
- Medium chance to extract a degraded implant (lower tier, if no lower tiers exist then the 'base' attribute enhancer).
- High chance to extract the minerals used to build the implants (ie. as if reprocced).

NOTE: Only applicable if salvaged in space, with no scooping done. Implant integrity is dependent on the near absolute zero temperature of space, once scooped all that can be extracted is minerals.

I like this idea.

But I agree with the idea of only getting implant "components" so you have to rebuild them.

There will be a new counter to this, when a pod is destroyed it will have military grade explosives inside to remove any chance of the d-bag getting your implants. Don't say this is stupid because i don't want you to make money killing me, so ill line my pod with C4 and you'll take a Sec-status hit for nothing.

If you can't pull an implant out of a healthy breathing head without it falling to pieces....

What makes you think you'll be able to pull it out of the corpse of a pod pilot who's been turned into a smear on the nearest asteroid by a tachyon beam?

There should be a rather awesome pic here
