Hello MD experts

I was taking a peak at ship prices and saw that the Mach had orders for 1.3 billion and cynabals are over 245 mil. At one point in my career I lived in Curse and ran Angel missions.
My question is are the corps that live in these areas just cutting the supply by not running mission and exporting to HIgh Sec or is this just the usual market manipulation from a set or players or NPC 0.0 corps.

Well considering the mineral cost increases recently and you know it takes minerals to make cynabals, I would be very surprised if the cost did not go up.

That is understandable but on the cynabal it's a cruiser hull so I do not see the cost going up 45 mil just to build it

Read it and weep:

I'd buy that ship as it's gonna cost a whole lot more really really soon.

Neither.

Hard to believe I know but the main problem is bounties.

If you look at the faucets in eve, the biggest faucet in eve comes from bounties, 26 trillion a month
but it's not just bounties there are other faucets.

1. Bounties 26 t
2. wormholes 8.9 t
3. Incursions 8 t
4. mission rewards 4.3 t
5. all other faucets 4 t

Now lets look at the SINKS:

6.8 t on skill books
6.1 t on bueprints
3.7 fees and taxes
4.6 other sinks

see the issue?

50 trilllion per month flows into the game and only 26 flows out of the game.
24 trillion is not being spent which is causing inflation since it's not being used by anyone.

Until bounties change or CCP introduces more sinks (cough cough taxes) this will cause prices to skyrocket.

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

Answering the original post:

Well considering that tritanium has gone from like 3.5ish to 5.5ish and trit is 75% of the total mineral need of the cynabal.

so lets see 75% of the base mats have increased by 57%......this alone should cause a ~42% increase in the cost of a cynabal.....

In the same time period(3 months) the cynabal has increased from 190ish to 245ish. This is a 28% increase over the original cost....

This makes me think the Cynabal is UNDER priced not over priced in the current market. Warning: your mileage may vary, Objects in mirror may be closer then they appear, and don't play chicken with a hen.

To the people telling about incursions, faucets, blah blah blah. Not important. The post did not ask for the underlying mechanics, but for the direct reason for the price increase. Minerals cost more, therefore the products made from them cost more.

Now as to why minerals have increased in value? That is for other threads and we already got 100's of them.

You are forgetting that the major cost in a cynabal is the bpc. The base mineral cost might be 20m or so, but not much more.

That I did.

Too bad there is no mechanism to see the history of the contract market as such.
