Hey all,

I was just wondering what would be the best/most common ship class to use in PVP both solo and small gang.

I am currently flying Minmatar ships

Thanks all

Rifter is a good base ship to start out with, decent lowskill starting PVP ship.

MMOs come and go, but Eve remains.  -Garresh-

Minmatar are really the best race for this kind of pew pew overall.

Mobility and versatility tend to be big advantages here and they do this really well.

Shield buffer, gank, autocannon and neuits is probably a good way to go for what you want.

You can actually do this on several of their hulls.

The Rupture is a cheap option for doing this on:

It's actually a pretty nice ship generally. Good speed, range with autocannons, reasonable tank. Pretty good way to learn to fly fast cruisers too.

Hurricane is the same but bigger:

Swapping the inv field (sorry... adaptaive thingie field) for a second extender and one of the rigs for an EM rig) gives you similar tank but longer run time on the MWD.

Two cheap options to start. You can go bigger or more expensive

I used to recommend the rifter as a starter but it seems less and less viable these days with all the faction and pirate frigs around :(

Many good ships to choose from. Most popular and cheapest is:

Rifter -> Rupture -> Hurricane
Mystical Might
Eclipse Pulsar
Fraternity.

Tengu / Cynabal / Talos / Slicer / Vengeance / Vindicator, In no specific order.

Different ships, different roles and purposes.

If I were choosing a single Mimmatar ship to do solo pvp my choice would be a Rapier, its got a cloak so you can pick your fights and with a faction Point and a couple webs its almost invulnerable to Frigates because of its extended engagement range. Cruiser weapons can probably reach it but you can fit a descent tank do reasonable Damage and if things go badly it has all kinds of GTFO ability. Recons in general make good solo ships.

Most common for both solo and small gang would probably be a battlecruiser.

I solo and do small gang in a Hurricane so that would do the job.

High DPS, High Mobility, and you can gank unattentinve miners.
So much lolz.

EDIT: I see you fly minmatar, use a Wolf with 200mm Autocannons.
