Some players like getting minerals to sell or build stuff with by killing Drones.

This dearly offends Lete PvP'ers because "cattle" should sit and stare at floating rocks for hours on end, not blow up Drones.

See, this is a GAME. And in a GAME there are CATTLE and there are REAL MEN.

REAL MEN do the PVP. They blow stuff up!

Sure CATTLE may want to blow stuff up, but they are CATTLE. They stare at screen of floating rocks for hours on end!

Shut up and mine, CATTLE!

They may want to have fun blowing stuff up, but in a REAL GAME only Lete PvPers get to have fun!

No blowing up Drones for CATTLE.

Oh, and pro wrecking Mission content to.

And that inflation is wrecking insurance payout to.

I bet them CATTLE are going to be even more eager to engage in non-consensual PvP now that you have doubled the price of their ships.

Go mine some rock, CATTLE. This is a GAME.

Huh, cattle? Mining lasers or T2 Large Beam lasers, does it matter so much?

Triggered by: Wars of Sovless Agression, Bending the Knee, Twisting the Knife, Eating Sov Wheaties, Bombless Bombers, Fizzlesov, Interceptor Fleets, Running Away, GhostTime Vuln, Renters, Bombs, Bubbles ?

Men? How these bearers of scrotii fantasize.
Apprise the size? The louder, the tinier.
The more they grunt. The more they punt.

Elite PvP-ers are MEN? Please. Cross your legs.
Some of the best PvP-ers also shed a few eggs.
They also love to hear manly men BEG.

You keep your head lodged where it is bro.
When you sit, you'll break your neck, though.
The finesse? Ask the ones wearing a dress.

Men. Yeah, right, GI.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

What is he on about? Is he a carebear or a Goon? And does he think PvP is only for pew-pew? Sorry, struggling to remain coherent with all the crap on the forums recently. There is bound to be some seepage.

If the asteroids exploded in multicolored fireballs then it would be okay. Unfortunately, Mercoxit mining was not taken far enough.

A grind to get resources for PvP/Raids is essential to make either meaningful.

However, grind can be taken to far. Or not far enough.

It's all very complicated, but basically explosions are good.

Shooting drones --> Explosioins! --> Drones are good.

Is removing content good? If drones dropped "the wrong" minerals, or "too much" minerals then nerf it.

Why remove? What precisely is the logic propelling this change forward?

Perhaps emotion instead of logic is propelling it forward.

OP can't live with the fact that his desired play style is broken when such a high percentage of minerals especially high ends completely circumvent the mining profession effectively making it pointless.

OP can't constructively argue for his position so he lashes out and thinks that an indignant collection of WHARGARBL will somehow justify his position. OP is deluded and fears change for the good, OP should train some mining skills since he loved gun mining so much.

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.

One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.

Good, Jessie, you have understood how our ecosystem is arranged into three main classes based on the material they consume for living.

Roid-eaters have an important role in the mineral chain- through refinosynthesis, they convert the ore into minerals and into ships. They share certain similarities with cattle, the ancient breed of herbivores living on some planets. They are very slow to move, and generally just prefer to munch on the roid and pay no attention to their surroundings. Make a lot of noise when caught, but offer no resistance and usually are unable to change their habits. There are some breeds that are capable of co-operation, protecting themselves and their weakest (think of muskox, able to scare off any miner-eater), but these are rare.

Next up on the ladder are the miner-eaters. Their role is to keep the roid-eater population at bay in places where the predators higher up in the chain don't roam. Miner-eaters remind us of rats, common gulls and stray dogs, they mostly eat garbage when they fail to catch an unaware roid-eater. They thrive in packs and population is concentrated in the busiest systems.

Above these, on the top of the food chain, fly the apex predators. These superpredators prey on any weaker spaceform, but due to their metabolism that enables them to survive on days without food, they spend most of their time involved in territorial fights with their kin, instead of feeding on the lesser beings. They have sometimes exceedingly large territories, and this prevents them from living in the contrived systems where roidvores and scavengers live.
