No turrets and mining lasers

Hi there,

it seems like from out of nothing, eve yesterday stopped showing me mining laser or turret animations. The game mechanic is working fine, but the ships just standing arround without doing anything. Its really that even not the turrets are moving and not just the lasers missing. I cleared the cache and restarted the computer, but the problem persist. Also the sound effects doesn't play, but music and engines working fine.

I am completely puzzled as I am not sure what actually might be updated causing this problem. I am here on the latest F16 with prop. Nvidia drivers. Anyone having a good idea or noticing some similiar issues? Many thanks in advance.

If it used to work and now it does not then I can think of only one issue. The client is (again) filling up and has run out of memory, which leads to various graphical glitches like black station interior, missing warp effect, missing or only partial planets in PI, and likely others. Try to restart your client and see if it went away.

Like wrote before, I already restarted the system and thus also the client. Everything else you said, is really familiar as well. I have the feeling that it is somehow related to issues between the newest driver and the 3.3 kernel. But everything worked some days ago fine, without any modification to the system. Maybe I delete the user settings and check, if its working then.

Also try to change the graphics setting to the lowest possible and back again. Disabling the resource cache and deleting the cached files might help, too.

Show your screenshot of the configuration menu. When set setting for maximum performance - laser effect and some other set to off.

I'm having the exact same issue with my projectile turrets. Even missile animations / explosions are only working sometimes and I have no turrets / projectile effects.
