It's awesome to see you taking control of the situation, rather than letting the situation control you Big smile

The non-gank account should fly a ship with a decent cargo hold. Depending on whether you want to be selective or not, you could just fit the passive targeted, ship scanner and salvager to a Probe. When the hulk is blown up, sift through the wreckage for the things that are worth taking (i.e.: fittings & salvage, leave the ore behind). Alternately, scan the hulks in anything (say, a rookie ship), then come back with a hauler such as a Mammoth to make sure you can quickly scoop up any cargo left behind (a hulk might have 13k m3 of cargo and fittings).

Best wishes!

Hmmm, I didn't think about that either. When the non gank account comes in to clean up the mess, if he takes something from the wreck (not salvage) then that flags him for boom boom right?

Will the person that got ganked get kill rights for a long time for the player that looted the modules?

I've never PvPed at all. I have no idea how any of this works. =/

Don't violence me bro!

Your gank toon will "own" the wreck. When your alt loots it, it'll flag your alt as freely attackable by your gank toon. Not a big deal unless you're multi-boxing and want to shoot yourself in the face :D

I came back to Eve after 3 years just before last christmas and was really enjoying myself, now all the asteroids in my home system are pebbles and life sucks again.

One guy was always on 23/7 but yesterdays bot ban got him. I decided to fly around the belts tonight, and there is one flaw with what must be the most popular bot program that lets you know if they are a bot almost instantly. I don't want to give it away. Anyway, there are 3 bots in my system's belts right now.

I'm gunna have to make an alt and start suicide ganking them.

Anyway, I'd appreciate some instructions on how to proceed. What skills to train, what ship to use, and mods, etc. The system is 0.9. I know thats gunna make it more difficult, but it should be worth it if gets rid of them.

Maybe some of you goons could offer some advice. (I just threw up a little)

Oh, I got my brother back into Eve too and he is up for bot ganking too. So if there is a cheaper fit we could use as a team, let me know.

There is this thing called Google. It has lots of searchable information on this. TONS of it.

Neat, huh ?

[re:Salvage]

I am SOOOO glad you said that. :) Should help offset the cost.

You need salvaging skill to level IV though before you can salvage any T2 wreck. So don't get all excited.

^not exactly true...you need 35% access ability to get T2's if i'm not mistaken...this can be augmented with use of Salvage Tackle rigs.

Also, OP, i've seen many a hulk dye to a decent Thorax fit...unless they were tanked hulks, then it usually didn't work out for the ganker.

Glad I made a post asking. As a carebear I would not have remembered to overheat.

Oh, one thing I forgot to ask, if all I'm gunna do is use this alt to gank, do I ever need to work about security status? We have a third account that can go out and scout for the bots, so can we just stay -10 on the alts, undock and gank before the navies show up, or do we have to do ratting for sec status?

make sure you keep the alt and/or dont advertise youre gonna recycle him when yer done. Thats a no-no
