(Gallente) Federation Navy modules are inferior to Caldari Navy versions. Meta 8, Meta 9 respectively. Actually, of all the faction gear (empire or pirate), the Federation has the worst stats.

Anyone know why?

Try checking out Federation Navy Stasis Webifiers. I think you will find they are far from inferior. The Magnetic Field Stabilizer is also just as good as the Shadow Serpentis equivalent.

Each faction has something they do better than the others. Amarr does armor mods best, Caldari does shield mods, Minmatar has great warp disruptors and speed mods, Gallente has webs and speed mods. Every faction also has its own damage mod that fits its specialty.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Each side has stuff there better at and stuff there worse at. do an item comparison in game with some different stuff and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I wanted to paint my space ship red, but I couldn't find enough goats.

They also have good tracking computers....

but I agree as a whole the Fed navy offerings aren't very good.

Just TCs and webs as far as I can tell

the prop mods are just... different. They tend to be easier to fit, but slower, they also use less cap (I think)

There should be a rather awesome pic here

Their armor plates are good too, the same hp bonus as the Imperial navy but a good chunk less mass for a modest increase in CPU requirement.

That is interesting to me, especially considering their racial E-war bonuses . . . any explanation for this?

I want Federation Navy Damage Control Modules.

I would have them be better than Damage Control II by the same amount that Imperial Navy EANMs are better than EANM IIs

The Federation Items are generally identical to Shadow Serpentis items, they are by no means weak, but they are limited in scope to the items these factions use.

Remember also that the Serpentis/Federation modules often fit the niche of "Easier to fit T2" rather than being an actually superior module.

The TC's, Webs, Magstabs and Sebo's are in heavy demand at the moment while the prop mods tend to be popular for tight T2 and T3 fits.
