Looking New Player Friendly Corporation

Hi All

Fairly new to Eve - well at least trying to play it properly

I've been playing for a couple of weeks now and started looking at Mining as a career.

I am looking for a new player friendly corp to join

I have looked at the recruitment channels/forums etc but not really sure how to choose, my main concern is being scammed after reading stuff about naive new players (which I probably am)

Anyone have any decent experience of a good Corp for new players just getting into the game (I am aware of Eve University)

Thanks

Just pick one that seems cool, and don't allocate anything to corp assets that you aren't willing to lose. Basically the same rules as picking what ship to fly.

Also, I would not jump into player-owned null sec too quickly, your first corp will likely best serve you as a new player if it's based or has a significant branch in high and/or low sec.

Oh, and if it ends up not being fun, just politely tell them you're not enjoying it and leave with a few days' notice and no one will hold it against you.

(I would say something about not joining Goons especially, but I think that's covered by "stay in high/low for now")

Bullshit. Petrus (RL friend and corpmate) jumped into 0.0 less than 21 days into EVE and has never regretted it. In fact, I have met a number of people who jumped into 0.0 earlier and I've never heard any regrets.

Going to 0.0 is probably the fastest way to learn how to survive in the game

It depends heavily on what you want to do. My own corp does faction warfare frigate/cruiser PVP, and we accept new players, but that's not exactly very useful to you if you want to get into mining or missionrunning or have an aversion to seeing your ship explode over and over and over.

Find something you want to try, then look for a corp that will let you try it. If you're not sure, a more generalized newbie corp like EUNI is a good idea.

Firstly: Never listen to anything anyone from Union of Revolution says.

Secondly: Join the recruitment channel, find a corp that does the thing that you want to do, join it and start doing that thing. In the event that they aren't doing the thing that you want after saying that they did join another corp.
