BC V skill reimbursement

Dear CCP,

I am writing in regard to the recent announcement in this thread that we will receive racial skills equivalent to our current level of the Battlecruisers skill. As someone with BC 5 already I am deeply worried that I will recieve all racial BCs at lvl 5. I therefore like to request the option not to receive the Caldari BC 5 skill.

My concern is that after getting the new skills it might appear to anyone browsing my skillsheet that at some time I have flown, expressed an interest in flying, transported, or bought a Drake. Any suggestion of an association with said battlecruiser would, I feel, be an eternal stain on my character.

Drakes are fine ships. Ship snobbery is hilariously stupid.

I would be nice to have the extra sp to put where we want instead of HAVING to put it into BCs, seems fair.

It depends if you have Caldari Cruiser 3 trained or not.

I almost would say the same as the OP (see my sig lol) but I'm not THAT silly, besides, I still trained Caldari cruiser to fly a gas miner ferox xD

And I might fly a nightmare, or a scorp, or a rokh or something one day

How would that change perception? Besides the Caldari command ships (wich also need BC5) are nifty. By getting that skill, you're ready to fly it, and don't need a 20+ day training to get it.

I fail to see how it would negativly affect you, unless you care so much about the opninion of others that yo'ure willing to nerf yourself over it.
Yes, by refusing Caldari BC5 you would effectivly nerf yourself as you will exclude a part of the ships you can fly now.

I mean seriously, it's been like 3 years since anyone with 2 neurons to rub together thought of the Drake as a "carebear" ship. And when/if CCP "nerf" it, it's going to be even better.

Seriously.. get over it.

The only sane thing from CCP to do is give everyone all 4 skills to the same level.. Otherwise they will need to ask each and every person who has BC trained what they want..

And it can't be tied to what Racial cruiser skills you have, because as it stands no, they aren't needed to TRAIN the BC skill. If someone trains BCV but has no cruiser skill, what do you do, give them nothing ? No..

Everyone gets all 4, if you don't like it, then cover your eyes when you look at your skillsheet.

Better to have a skill and never need/want it, than not have a skill you wanted because of some arbitrary decision by a dev or GM..

Well you are wrong. Statement from CCP was something of "if you can fly it..." , so how smart is that?
If you don't have racial cruiser on at least lvl3, you can't fly it.
In other words, you won't get racial BC for race you don't fly.

Pointed out in the last thread of this nature.
I have BC 5. I got it when they gave me back all my learning skills.

If they want to reimburse them again? Dunno, day trading seems to be a popular PvP in EVE.
