Is it against any CCP rules to Biomass a character for any reason?

For you to biomass or for them to biomass for you?

If the former then of course not, that's your decision.

not really.. The only thing I know that is frowned upon is rapid recycling of alts for griefer purposes.

Nowadays there is of course locked accounts ( for reasons of Having Been a Very Bad Boy/Girl) whose toons are frozen. There's a "no biomassing, no selling of toons, and stuff" effect in place there..

Edit: ah yes, in that case you can recycle all the way to Mars and back.

Highsec isn't "Safe".  Neither is it a playground for bullies and bottomfeeders. So stop complaining and start playing the game already.

It's against the rules to biomass chars to avoid consequences of negative sec status. If you wallet happens to be negative, you can biomass the char but don't wonder if something strange happens.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

If that's what you're talking about then yes there are a few rules, and the few are already mentioned above.

Greetings, I am GM Cid

Thank you for contacting Customer Support. There is nothing against the rules that forbids you from biomassing your character, you will however lose all the skillpoints on the character, so doing this is not without it´s cost.

Technically cycling it to avoid sec status penalties is considered an exploit, but it's rarely if ever enforced since it's mostly done during hulkageddon and everyone is too busy laughing at the miners that fall for it to hunt for infractions.

What is this "hulkageddon"? Is this supposed to be an event that takes place every year, or even every six months?

Hulkageddon is a player run competition.
It runs whenever to organizers feel like it,

The competition is who can destroy the most mining ships in the time allotted. Usually fixating on Hulk class exhumers/
There are also a number of other smaller prizes for killing hulks in a certain circumstances, All of which are funny to some degree.

So far there have been 4, Hulkageddon V was scheduled for this month, but something might be happening with the competition so it might have been delayed.

There is a fine line between a post and a signature.

http://blog.eveonline.li/piracy/hulkageddon-v-to-start-after-we-burn-jita/

Hulkageddon V is going to take place once the Mittani is back in EVE and Goons have done their "Jita Burn" event.

As for the OP:

There are very little rules regarding biomassing yourself. The only one that I know of is mentioned, that is to avoid any consequences of having a negative sec status and you biomass every single time to get start back at 0 and go pirate again.
