hi guys

i need help on the best way to show off this amazing game to some complete beginners.

I've just rejoined myself after a year off and convinced my four brothers to give it a try aswell. the problem is i feel very out of touch with the game atm and have come from an indy background, which i dont think they will be that much into. I think the best way to get them hooked will be to get them into some pvp actio

so basically im after some advice on the best way to get them started and get them straight into the actio

thanks in advance!

If they want to get in and pew pew, I suggest you setup some minimal industry / mining with alts and join RvB for very fast, cheap and instant pew pew.

Now you're bashing the game as a whole because your poorly worded posts are not garnering sympathy or support?

Saphira, I'd have them try something new everynight.
Try mining, try missioning, maybe take a jaunt into lowsec (but only do it once you have sufficient cash and can fly something cheap that you dont mind losing!) The tutorials are a great start and then just explore as a group. Have fun, kill rats, mine, build, play with the market.

Fly into Amamake with a rifter.

Should find yourself some PvP action in a matter of seconds.

Join a small/medium PvP and indie corp as a group, work your way up in that group and aim toward increasing your responsibilities and privileges. A small wormhole corp might be best for this.

When the time comes, rob the corp blind and run off into the sunset with the riches.

For a small group of IRL friends doing this repeatedly can often be one of the most rewarding and entertaining past times in Eve. It will also probably be the best way to introduce them to the Eve mentality.

don't show them the new dust trailer, they would be rudely surprised when they jumped in their velator and did the first tutorial and realized that it wasn't exactly the interstellar war they were expecting

The U.S. Navy has developed a railgun that can hit a target the size of a watermelon from about 200km away.  its probably around 8,000 years in the future, we can go faster then light, be immortal, teleport capital ships, communicate instantly, mine asteroids and make ships invisible, yet still our railguns can't even hit a massive spaceship over 100km....

Show them the R&K youtube vids....they are very well done, and show just how fun and creative this game can be..

Don't show them *any* trailer, unless there's one for Excel.
