Extended UI Scaling Options

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that you can now scale the UI down to 90% in the graphics options. This is still quite readable on my 23" monitor at 1080p. Not sure if this is really new, or if I just didn't notice all these years, but I'm definitely loving the new, compact, size.

However, I do not understand why this scaling option is not available for sizes under 90%. I would like to scale the UI down even further, to compensate for the rather cluttered mess that EVE's UI tends to be.

Alternately, lets see about the possibility of scaling down individual UI elements. For example, I don't mind the UI for the overview being a decent size, but the UI for local, or for various item windows (Cargo hold, for example) I wouldn't mind being able to scale down to 50% or so.

A slider would be trivial to implement -- simply store this as a floating point or integer value, 0 to 100, and have the rendering engine scale the element to match.

Also, while I'm ranting about UI elements: I rarely have need for local other than to make sure no reds appear, why can't I get rid of portraits next to the users in the list? All I really need is a text list with the background being red, green, purple, what have you. If backgrounds don't work, simply replace the portrait with the little icon (sized to match). I know the portraits are quite nice, but I would much rather have the raw data I need for survival in Nullsec.

Right click on local (and every other chat) tab and choose "Show compact list".

EDIT:

+1 for separate scaling of various elements of UI and extended by values below 90%.

... Now wait just a darned minute, how long has that been there, and why is it hidden in a right click menu?

.Ah well, at least it's there. Thanks!

I think they added it in Crucible or soon after, basically among other fixes in "all your little things" initiative.
