I'd like to find a spot that doesn't have a lot of PVP activity. I understand the EVE API exports information about how many player-ships per hour / per day are destroyed in each system. Is there a website somewhere that will provide an interface to this data?

You are looking for Paragon.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

Looking at dotlan and looking at systems.

Check

Jumps in the last 48hrs: General traffic through a system on average day
NPC Kills: How active other PVE'r are in the system or population indicator
Ship kills: PIratey folk and there activity levels
Pod kills(less important its low sec)

welll there's Rancer, and Tama, and ummm.. plenty of places P

Seriously.. stay in an NPC corp, stay in highsec, and never undock.. Best way to avoid PVP in EVE.

Highsec isn't "Safe".  Neither is it a playground for bullies and bottomfeeders. So stop complaining and start playing the game already.

I mostly grew-up around Amarr after leaving Lonetrek: Domain, Tash-Murkon, Kador, Kor-azor. Seemed a lot less busy than Caldari space. I liked to mine ore in Keproh and Shokal (both 0.5 sec), and ice in Dantan. There are a few rookie systems nearby, hence I have very high standing with Hedion University for refining.

Just staying in high and not hanging out in a major mission hub will protect you from 99% of undesired PvP, including ninja salvaging.

Go to NC space in nullsec.

Whenever you fly throught there space every single one of them flies back to their POS.

I think they do this so that you dont feel scared or crash into them when you are moving from gate to gate.

Hope that helps

Why not use the in game map? it's in the statistics section of the star map settings.

To the OP: do not listen to these trolls who make fun of you for wanting to find a low-traffic place. They are just upset you are doing exactly what you should do to counter high-sec gankers. One of the best counters is to not be where they are... :)
