Hi folks,

Just thought I'd share my blog with the new players here who are interested in getting into trading. I started learning about trading and industry about 6 months ago after I moved out living in a WH with my main, and found very little solid information out there. Traders typically keep their methods and their markets secret to prevent competition and to protect their profit margins. I started my blog to change that in some small way.

In the blog I detail how I made my starting capital, what I invested it in and how I identified what to invest it in, the tools that I used and the difficulties that I've faced. I've shared my full API key in addition to this to give as much disclosure as possible to anyone who wants to follow what I'm doing for ideas.

The blog is called Full Disclosure. The first post is here if you'd like to start chronologically, and if you'd like to just check out my weekly posts covering some of the tools I use, you can find them here.

Enjoy! Any feedback is welcome.

There is another reason. As you will soon find out.

What, suicide gankers?

There are far juicier targets than me out there.

Well, sometimes I'm silly enough to make myself a juicy target, as it turns out.

Still, lesson learned.

Great work Vincent Trevane. And I must add that sharing trade secrets only hurts those that are not willing to adept. In the end the Market is dynamic and the best thing today can make you a loss by tomorrow.

There are guides and information for Industry/Market, but the information is represent in a way that is hard to understand for new players.

Thanks Invicta. You're spot on. I've made over 2b now in less than a month from a no SP, no capital start, AND disclosing everything I do. Hiding everything you do is NOT required.

Traders will and should tell you the basics. However they should never tell you what to trade.

1. If there on a hot seller they dont want to let the competition know what it is and neither should you.

2. And since the market is always fluctuating you should always be wary of some one who takes the time to give you a "hot tip" on what to trade. Its better to do it on your own trial and error then have some one pull the wool over your eyes.

The point is to illustrate why I picked those items, how I managed them and the underlying theory. This isn't a blog to give people leads. As you've indicated, that just wouldn't work.

Great blog, just started playing EVE myself.

Quick question - I'm interested so far in trading/industrial/mining, but not knowing what I was doing when I created my character I started out in Gallente. Does it make much difference, or should I have started out in Caldari (for access to Jita) or where you're at?

Just want to make sure I'm not making things harder for myself while it'd still be cheap to restart. I've only been building up skills for 3-4 days so far. :)

You seriously got me into trading with this. I am getting much more satisfaction hunting out bargains and scanning markets that constantly change, than what I was getting doing the same level 4s over and over. First time Ive used excel in 9 years... Damn!

No problem with trading in Gallente space. It'll be quieter but you'll probably have less competition and therefore more margins.

I'm writing a post at the moment comparing trade hubs that you might find useful to justify your decision making. It'll be out soon.
