I'll start with how far I've gotten so far and what I have installed.

I have Wine and Wine-tricks , I haven't modified this/these two apps at all

I've downloaded the Windows EVE Installer

Oh I'm running un linux mint to which is just a pretty version of Ubuntu Lol

So I've installed through wine, by right clicking the downloaded installer, when running EVE I got the C++ runtime error in the launcher. But this thread C++ problem doesn't help me as I have no idea what they're talking about as far as work-arounds go

Please explain to me like I'm five

SweetrolI Likes received: 10	#2 - 2012-04-05 14:05:12 UTC Ok under the option to Install a Windows DLL 'blablhablah' I installed d3dx11_42 d3dx9_42 msxml3 vcrun2005 vcrun2008 vcrun2010 But on wine trick it says "For the above at the moment, you need the above dll's set to builtin to patch eve and native to play it. " WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???
