Per the Escalation features page (http://community.eveonline.com/en/inferno/features/) there will be a series of changes made to incursions on the 28th. Are these changes currently available for testing?

No, net yet. Sisi is currently on the same build as TQ, give it a week or two for the test builds to show up on SiSi.

Incursion changes are now live on Sisi.

Just logged out after some testing and am a little disappointed to see a double nerf to Vanguards, both taking substantially longer to complete and a reward reduction.

I'm still a firm believer that Incursions are great for the community by bringing different groups who would never normally have the opportunity to meet together in one place in a positive setting, rather than the occasional opportunity to troll each other in local out in Null somewhere. Seems like kicking the rewards in the pants will reduce those opportunities.

And then selecting only those who have 30billion officer blingfit vindicators with railguns to be in your fleet while telling the others to bugger off.

This has never been my experience. I've flown in both shield and armor fleets with tech 2 fits and done just as well as anybody else. I've never had problems being invited to fleets despite not having any meta 6+ mods.

Faction and above modules might give you something of an edge when contesting sites but they probably don't especially help you to make more money faster. Faction damage mods and stasis webs are the most I would recommend, the rest is superfluous. T2 rigs aren't really necessary either.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

What a pile of BULL crap. I FC Assaults regularly & never seen a 30 billion vindi or even one 1/5 that price. U R talking out your arse... That 30 billion KM Vindi wasobviously either rom some rich WHer or a ALT of a director of a NULL alliance that used the Moon GOO riches to fit his FAV level 4 mission boat

true, i never seen any 30b vindi... yet Big smile

what i saw so far in incursions (OMG OMG HIGH SEC INC. ARE SO IMBA RISK VS PROFIT OMG OMG ShockedShockedShocked )

null-sec : high reward and poor ships like drakes...
high-sec : Shiny fleets mach with officer fits (sometimes)...

High sec : when someone doesn't follow order, when FC is failing, when a logistic(s) D/C, or when the server lag like this morning, it is 2B+ ships getting destroyed, people enrage, etc..

Null sec : same as above, plus the 1mn warning Red in local, and that if you don't have any intel channel.
and i forgot stargates disruption, which IS annoying (and reminds you what True Power Sansha are)

But anyway, i think CCP is making a good point on this.
I've met nice guys i would never met in L4 or PVP. And now i pray to make more Assault / HQ, funnier imo.

CCP you should introduce more of this kind of "fleet instances" and somehow add randomness
L4 is useless and L5... meh.. triple boxing low sec LP lover guy...

Pretty sure you need to read the thread more closely. I didn't mention 30 billion ISK Vindicators, ElQuirko did.

The point I was making is that high sec incursions offer more to the community than an avenue to make ISK. It's a great way to bring players together in a collaborative setting and let people meet one another and I believe it would be a shame to see that greatly diminished. I frequently run fleets where we have players, or alts of players, running with us who are on the opposite sides of the conflicts we have in null sec or elsewhere and it usually provides some good laughs when we talk about out conquests and utter failures. I'd never have had the chance to meet these people otherwise, outside of the usual local trolling.

As for super expensive blingfit battleships, I personally don't see the issue. Eve players are free to spend the ISK they earn on what ever they want, and if expensive modules float their boat, so be it. If that's not for you and some of the player run communities are denying you access to their fleets there are a host of others to choose from. I personally run legion fleets and we rarely have anyone with more than some faction heat sinks and a faction web on their ship. Hardly expensive in the grand scheme of things.
