add dynamic size jet-cans
like 1isk = 1m3
so we can actually have 100k m3 cans and stuff

I see no reason not to do it, although having my wallet flash every time I jetcan something might get irritating after a while.

CCP needs to charge for jet-cans. Not much, just 0.01isk would be fine. Such a little change could bring so many a tear to folks that have a negative wallet balance.

Yeah, yeah, F&I is that way...

Make can flipping more interesting.. a deposit on your can you pay to Whoever has sov in that system. You get it back when you empty it.

The Can-Flipping will make some interesting raging.

Should let players make them. they could be 0.1 in size in cargo and space magic poof when you deploy them, would be even less space magic than today's cans. Even if they only take 100 trit and 100 pyer to make. Would add a much needed consumable to Eve.

why not, but they should cost at least we can agree on this.

How about taking this further... To jettison a can you require a low-slot module that takes can 'charges'. The size of the jettisoned can is dependent on the charge loaded into the module. The charges have certain mineral components so the larger the can the more (minerals) it costs. You can still jettison items from your cargo hold without this module, but the jetcan is only the size of the jettisoned item (i.e. 5m3 for a small module).

Then on top of this apply an isk charge Twisted

They should charge 100,000 ISK per FORUM POST.

Now, THAT'S a REAL ISK Sink.

That'll stop 95% of these preposterous ideas from seeing the light of day.

10 million isk a can!!!!!

I actually like this idea alot, would:
A. fook up the botters
and
B. stop people launching stupid amounts of cans at gates!

Hell even set it that the cost depends on the sec status of the system!

How about every jet can launched reduces your armour or hull till you repair?

After all the resources to build something that can hold more materials then the parent ship often can, must come from somewhere ;)

No, we were just commenting on the thread about bots and RMTers in the Information Portal thread, this idea was proposed there to screw with those with negative wallets.

Screwing with negative wallets is a noble and praise-wrothy act, and should be encouraged.

I've not seen a botter use a jetcan, and this would hurt rookies.

How would this hurt rookies..? One one-hundreth of an ISK per can..? One hundred cans per single ISK? Hardly onerous. That single trit that you get with your n00bship will buy something like 561 cans at last night's trit 'buy' price.

Edit: Even assuming a dynamic can and a cost of one ISK per cube, so what..? A can can hold what, 27 thousand cubes..? 27 kilo-cubes of any ore will offset that very nicely.

You could still get around this with a negative wallet balance by killing a rat and using its wreck like a can right? Someone has to play devils advocate Lol.

You can't put things into a rat wreck can

Actually I stand corrected, you can use a wreck can. I just tested this. Kill a rat with loot in it. Salvage the rat (leave the loot inside) and it leaves a can. You can now use that can to store stuff in.

It is an absolute pain in the *** to do this as you would need to have a salvager with you and fly close enough to the wreck to use it, but it can be done.
