Drone region truesec nerfs (it was abnormally high before), a handful of new modules, and perhaps most importantly, removal of Datacore RP costs, in keeping with CCP's stated desire to move them to Factional Warfare and make them more expensive.

Enjoy.

Seems to be just that one kind of new shiled booster. If it works out, who knows, might be expanded to other things in the future.

You forgot TDs affecting missile explosion velocity by -20%

Do I have the new shield booster correct?

4s cycle time +195 hp shield boosted, requires 190 cap or 1 hydrogen battery (when scripted)
100 cpu 150 power grid
med slot with a +10% str and -15% cycle time overheat stats (same as other shield boosters)

To compare, a T1 large shield booster has the same fitting requirements, for +180 shield hp for 160 cap, T2 LSB runs you +240 hp for 160 cap

New booster = shield hp/sec between meta 1 and meta 2 module but can be run without cap. Not sure which I'd rather go with, I get neuted a lot but I usually run with cap injectors.

Hydrogen Batteries cost 504 isk and take up 1m3 atm.

Warning, Hydrogen Batteries could most likely be a placeholder item for the real fuel item.

I'm pretty sure that was mentioned in the "Brave New Modules" (if that is the correct cutesy name) talk at fanfest.

Yeah I recall that. This shield booster was the only one mentioned that had any sort of charges. We may see more in the future. Doing it with scripts also allows the possibility for multiple types of functionality that could potentially be changed on the fly and different kinds of charges. May help break up some predictability in PVP.

Yeah, that's a major mistake on CCP's part.

Reception to that idea has been pretty negative from both sides (the industrialists and the FW folks).

There's no information on whether or not the DC that will be supplied by FW LP stores will be sufficent or insufficient to cover what RP was producing.

Edit: Either way, T2 BPO will win in the short term. Long term? That remains to be seen until the above question is answered.

It has nothing to do with whether FW can meet the demand. It's more a question of:

- What do FW corps have to do with R&D?

What common sense / lore reason is there for the NPC R&D corps not to be the ones who sell datacores? Even selling the starship datacores through FW stores is a bit hinky.

Why should all of those people who ground out standing with the R&D corps be thrown to the curb?

CCP needs to come out and state what they intend to do about datacore production. I find it hard to believe that they're about to wipe out an entire industry that's dedicated to datacore production without having to compensate the players for having to train for useless skill or even missioned in order to access the R&D agent.

Hopefully they add something new to the build process. Then they can get the financial incentive from FW DCs that they are after, according to the Soundwave interview on tenton. Currnet R&D types could then continue on with this new thing.

It could also be that R&D will be useful in this idea they have about 'seasons'. Perhaps these new BPCs will be coming from research agents.

"removal of Datacore RP costs"

This makes no sense, you're saying that we can buy as much as datacores we want, as they cost nothing.

I'm saying that the pastebin indicates removal of the RP cost but does not yet have any indication of the new method by which they will be obtained.

Soundwave said in that tentonhammer interview that they will be reducing the amount of datacores you can get for RP with the patch and reducing the amount of RP you get per day, but the presumption is that datacores will rise in value. (He said he is turning in his RP before the patch from the 15 agents he and his alts work with, because he is no dummy.) So more of a shift than a complete change. He also had some interesting ideas for how datacores might balance FW. He actually expressed a desire to see FW break (Caldari becoming dominant) to see if datacores would rebalance it (give support to the other factions.) Pretty obvious he is just playing God.
