For some reason I can't link a thread with a description... any help would be appreciated, this is what I am accustomed to:

As you can see that doesn't work though....

you have spaces in your brackets

works fine without them, click quote on my post if you don't understand

Or just highlight the text you want to link and click on the chain link button.

Note that you can't have an embedded link in a post that also uses the percent sign. You can use a full link though.
