Well, I posted some youtube links a couple of weeks ago and I did get some feedback from that, which I am really grateful for.

Since then I have been trying to find fights solo and fraps some more, and this is some of the fights I got.

This is pure unscouted solo, meaning no links or alts or any kind.

Ships flown are : Firetail , Thorax , Rupture , Rifter and Brutix in no particular order.

I´d like to give thanks to all the great video makers for being inspiring.

This video is somewhat short, but I am planning to move more and more into nullsec, as opposed to this abit of both.
And I wanted to start from scratch then so.

It´s probably a mix of bad to good fights, and I hope some will enjoy it.

Overall I liked it ... some of the text was on the screen for way too short of time tho. I had to pause the video and go back to read some of it. Some editing issues as a previous poster said but the fights were mostly good and the action was high.

Keep it up.

Yeah I know, but it was only really the drake/thorax fight that I felt the text was on too short but the window of time I had the drones tab selected was way to short to really work with, but I though those drones was really crucial to show they were there.

I thought I'd opened one of my own videos for a second there when I heard Entertainment start up :D. Respect for using rise against, pretty sure you're the only person other than me to use them in a vide

Not bad for a first video, few fights in there which could have been omitted (Though I know personally how hard it is to discard anything you frapsed, cause you think it's all great) , few which were decent (More stuff like the thorax v drake or the firetail vs c, and the editing needs a lot of work. Some stuff flashed by way too fast, and the resolution was very poor, although i expected that a bit with a 200mb file. The other thing is that you need to slow it down sometimes from 300%, some of the fights were much too quick for the playback speed to be that fast. Well done though, and keep it up!

You have a lot of potential for sure. This is a lot better than my first vid (but maybe thats not such an achievement ^_^ ).

Anyway, great work. Keep frapsing and soloing and concentrate hard on improving and I'm sure you'll go far :)

You know what, you are out if the first generation after me. Take a guess how I feel..

@ the vide
I am currently wondering at what level I should criticize. "Good for a first video" is a judgement that would have driven me nuts when I posted my first, and it is not accurate. Standing on its own, the video is decent enough. I think a lot of my enjoyment came from your music choices and the fast paced flow, interrupted by some down time*. That there are some improvable timings there has been covered, and also that maybe not all clips are highest standard. That that is ok is, actually, part of the "first video" bonus :)

Now, specifics: I like your commentary style. You should iterate at least once more though to make sure everything stays on screen long enough, and to see and manipulate how it interacts with the background. No one knows better than me that sometimes that is hopeless, but it is worth a shot

And now, there is one hard bit of advice I can give you that also refers to presentations in real life, academic publications and whatnot: if at all possible, do not use "now", "a bit" and "and" in transitions if at all possible. People have written entire essays on transitions in rhetorics, so I'll encourage you to look that up. Basically, "now a bit of xyz" takes most of the motivation out of a presentation's section. If you do want to announce that you are going to show kiting rupture, fill the screen with some content

Possible choices: The exact fitting, background on the specific fights, an anecdote. There are more, but I am lazy. Once you think about it you can probably come up with half a dozen yourself, and if you take a closer look at what some other people are doing, you can probably steal ideas too. This does, I repeat, not necessarily mean eve videos but any kind of presentation.

Regards
Miriam Sasko

PS1 and * That is a good thing. Moments of black screen help to refocus attention and can build up tension.
PS2 Take a look at this post. Yes, I deliberately overused some phrases and "now" to help my point that, to the audience, it feels like an awkward and somewhat lame transition.
PS3 In case I was not clear enough: I very much enjoyed watching the movie, consider the 11 minutes for that well spent, have high hopes for your next works and thusly hope that the 15 minutes it took to post this are also well spent.
