Mine was working until the patch today. The patch applies fine. The client opens but just locks up after the logo splash goes away. Tried repair which runs with no errors, still locks up. Reinstalled the client, still locks up. I dont get any error messages or anything.

thank you so much for the quick post, i really REALLY appreciate it

god i really wish ccp would simply do this so people having problems with the launcher can just download the file from the eve website then import it to the launcher....

EVE Online Launcher Exception. Bug report has been submitted as all my clients are bugged and even the two backup clients I never use, in case something like this happens are bugged. And yet I was playing before DT.

Hey, I was experiencing my patch getting corrupted around the 15-25% mark. I am on a Win7x64.

What I did was to :
1: Disable windows firewall, and
2: Right click the launcher and select "Run as Administrator".

It worked for me, for reasons that I do not know. Hope it helps though!

can someone tell me how to use this file once its downloaded. im so tired of trying to fix this game. i spend more time trying to fix it then playing it.

its actually rather simple, although CCP likes to hide how to do it.

1. Download the file
2. Extract the file to somewhere that you can REMEMBER (you are trying to get a ".patch" file)
3. Run the launcher
4. Click on the Wrench/Screwdriver button (furthest to the left on the top right)
5. go to the "Patches" Tab
6. Click on "Import"
7. Find the ".patch" file that you extracted from the download and click open.
8. wait for client to update (its not downloading anything, so it should work asap)
9. launch eve

edit: The patch I had downloaded was incomplete, for some reason it only downloaded 20mb worth.

Patching from the above link worked.

Could you tell me what patch is incomplete? I have all of the files on my computer and it is not that big of a deal to reupload them.

For some reason, Nvidia drivers 290.10 were being corrupted by the patch. I rolled the drivers back to 280.26 and now the client will launch.
