Datacores are possibly being added to faction warfare stores, and a reduction in normal r&d output. This is not a total removeal of datacores in hi sec, just a shift in current sources. Get a grip. That alone would not kill t2 production.

It's apparently only starship engineering datacores. And the faction warfare stores aren't in player null anyway.

I had heard that too. So even less impact given that the only t2 ships worth producing as a high sec indy player are a small set of frigates.

Way too much paranoia in this thread.

Watch the Ten Ton Hammer interview Soundwave, part One.
Start watching around the 8 minute mark.

Soundwave makes no distinction between types of datacores, and states quite clearly that smart players will cash out all datacores before Inferno.
He says he will START with a reduction of RP points, plus a tax to cash out RP.
But he also says he is wiping out the RP agent mechanic entirely, but gives no timeline.

I cannot believe they are more worried about this than fixing the actual clickfest of t2 manufacturing.

So much needs to be fixed, and this is their worry.

What the f*** CCP ?

CCP has never liked the way datacores were farmed (see previous nerfs). If people continue to farm good quantities just by clicking a button 2x per year then they will probably get changed again.

Nerfing High-sec is never the answer. It is the question. The answer is 'YES'.

Why can't R&D agents give out missions more like all other agents, but with some RP as rewards (and caps on how many of those you can run per day/month)? Would pretty much solve the completely passive income issue...

The idea of moving all datacores to FW LP stores makes Soundwave sound like a giant troll.

I think people are failing to realise that the zealots they are talking about are almost exclusively in goons and they again almost exclusively hold all the tech.

You're already being wiped out just dont realise it - change is good.

Why must you persist in making provably wrong statements?

Anti-hisec sentiment is hardly confined to goonwaffe, nor has it ever been: goons merely make the most noise about it.

And goons aren't even the largest holder of tech moons (although they may become so when Tenal falls, I dunno, someone want to run and check Dotlan?). Pandemic Legion alone hold ~25% of tech moons, and Raiden & NCdot hold most of the rest. Then there are a smattering of tech moons held by various other groups.

Which reminds me, I have a couple of million RP to cash in. Thanks!
