Will Caldari pilots ever have the upper hand in PvP?

So I've played eve since 2007 or so and I started as a Caldari pilot and I stuck with it and am fully specialized with 48mill SP in caldari newbness and missiles.
It was not until it was too late for me that I realized caldari was the worst choice and it seems to have always been that way.
Will there ever be a buff to make caldari pilots have the upper hand in a pvp situation?

I hate WoW dont get me wrong, but at least at some point in the game each class has been the best class. Warlocks used to be the best in PvP then Druids, then so forth and so on.
Will Caldari ever have a turn to be on top or are we sh!t out of luck?

ANDDDD, I just read someone saying that the only caldari ship that is better than another races ship is the Tengu (which just so happens to be the ship I am training for and will be flying in 25 days) and that CCP has noticed this and said in fanfest that it is due for nerf pretty soon.

Does CCP just hate Caldari or what?

Yea I figure I'll use my falcon much more, I love that style of gameplay anyways. Just usually get really angry if I do happen to lose it.

I've always had fun flying a drake as well, don't get me wrong I love caldari, it is why I fly them, I just hear all day erryday that they are the worst ships to fly.

A few Caldari ships to consider:

* Caracal, every frigate and destroyer's nightmare.
* Blackbird, cheap and potent cruiser.
* Drake, does this really need an explanation?
* Naga, longest optimal of all tier 3 BCs.
* Falcon, the ship everybody hates to have in the other fleet.
* Rook, the ship nobody will engage solo.
* Onyx, arguably one of the top HICs.
* Basilisk, gotta love shield and cap.
* Scorpion, even welcome in armor fleets.
* Widow, arguably one of the top Black Ops.
* Tengu, all around great SC.

These are a little "out there" but still quite popular:
* Blaster Moa (Boa)
* Blaster Rokh

I always was told that Missiles are not good in PVP because of how slow they are to target but they shine in PVE.

I have seen that Caldari are good in PVP as we fly some Shield Drakes on roams and do pretty good.

I only have 3.3m SP, So I am a newb, I do not know much but I have been in null space for the last 2 weeks and loving it and I am a Caldari pilot that can only fly Caldari ships up to a BS but I have never flown anything bigger then my Drake and will not be until I get more T2 skills trained. I PvP when it happend in null and have joined a roaming PVP fleet a few times just to get a feel for PVP but I am a newb to PVP so I could be way wrong.

(too many skill that are like, hmm that could be nice and so I train them)

Merlin will pretty much clobber any other T1 frig, Harpy is awesome, Hookbil is great, Moa is fine in a blaster fit, drake is amazing, Falcon is lol, Basilisk is VERY useful, Tengu is OP, Naga is great in fleets and, if you do it right, you can solo in it and make someone look stupid.Scorp is useful in fleets, Rokh fleets have their use.

My bet is most of those people are/were KM wh0res who hate the idea of not getting a chance at the Final Blow.
The fact that FOTM doctrine used to be "Armor and Laz0rz" for quite a bit, which does put a shield-tanker in the position that he's running into optimum pain with very little chance of repping helped as well.
The time that a Drake was seen as just about the most un-pvp ship Out There, other than as Bait is not too long ago. Hypocrisy and notoriously short memory span is most definitely at work here.

Highsec isn't "Safe".  Neither is it a playground for bullies and bottomfeeders. So stop complaining and start playing the game already.

Caldari is the best at pve so the pvp side is a little lacking compared to others. U have drake/falcon/100mn tengu tho. If you want more cross train. Caldari best pve / Amarr slow armor good big ships / gallente screwed / minmatar best pvp.

The Harpy is very good now. Drake is good and will be even better if CCP "nerf" it like they said they might (it's actually a considerable buff)

Its just a mechanics problem. If you have a fleet that is composed of half weapons with travel time and half weapons without, it is less efficient then one composed of all the same type. Its not that missile ships are bad, its that you only want to run them with other missile ships.
