SO FAR THIS IS THE BEST POST

Quote:

Gregar: I have yet to be banned and have been using the BOT on 2 accounts - I think I might have got lucky though as I stopped playing for about a month when everyone was getting banned and I had a day off when the next lot of people started getting banned...

EDIT - Both accounts just got banned..

You missed the bit where the botters log back in to wallets with iskies in the negative billions. Oh and have you ever tried to SELL something when your wallet is empty? The game code deducts the broker fee/taxes FIRST before crediting your account. So if you have zero isk and sell that 10M isk item, you won't be able to sell it because you can't afford the taxes/fees. Now imagine if you have -18 billion...

Likewise with Contracts.
Also you can't station trade with a negative wallet.
Move or Upgrade clones.. etc..

Keep up the good work, getting rid of botting and RMT will help this game a lot. Less titans (Harder to replace after they die) and more income for miners.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Really? You can't station trade?

That would mean the only way to fix a negative wallet is by shooting bounties or something. In that case the account is as good as banned. It's practically useless.

Eh, not really. You can fly a ship to a safespot with an alt, eject it, then fly the main and board.

Working as intended, if someone is botting and ends up with a short term ban, negative wallet and a useless account then in my eyes it's all good, CCP and the general population don't want players who automate their gameplay, they ruin it for the people who are actually at their computer playing the game.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

With infinite money supply, gaining money has to be boring or the money will be worth next to nothing.

I just thought I'd share this with those of you who haven't caught the other thread showing our appreciation for the new wave of unholy rage against the parasitic scum that have infested EVE for so very long.

After the recent bannings for botting and RMT, The Nosy Gamer has been posting some of the tears from the little scum buckets using botting software and finding Sreeg and Stillman's team sending them packing with account bans.

Enjoy

Just for a little preview, I found this one particularly funny

godless: banned 2 accounts. 1 only macroing.
I am switching to another game after 7 years playing it. This game is for ******* ccp's friends. I don't have a public IP so it's kinda weird they banned me 2 accounts.

Tears are always extra salty and delicious when they come from cheaters. Thanks for the laugh.

So is the gameplay of WoW, Guild Wars, and every MMO out there. All this means is that whenever the bots get persistent, we get persistent in killing them. At least here in Eve Online we get to kill our targets without needing their consent.

This relying on stupidly boring grinding is what is making the whole MMO genre to slowly lose popularity.

I never liked Korean super grinders but even the Western MMOs can be quite bad at it.

Where's the feeling of "epicness" when all you do 90% of the time is farming boar intestines Attention for some faceless NPC?

I mean, you read a Tolkien book (or a Sci Fi magazine to stay in theme) where you see those Shiny Stainless Heroes hopping from epic deed to epic deed. You get sold the epic MMO title and then all you get is "Apprentice Wooden Sword", some rags and go to kill boars which WILL give you the required experience to kill those badass level 9000 dragons later.

No it doesn't. It just has to be difficult and time-consuming.

I'm not sure if that is intentional or not.

I've tried to station trade few times with players who had negative wallet - once it failed but on other occasions it has worked. (I havn't tried this recently so I don't know how it works currently.)

EDIT: And the reason for those trades: They had bought PLEX from CCP to get rid of negative wallet, but could not sell PLEX on market - so they wanted to station-trade the PLEX.
