The so called "gaming media" can all go get ******. In general Eve-Online specific news sources had rather good reporting, shockingly even EveNews 24. The rest of the media, people who don't even play Eve-Online and have no concept of the cruel, unforgiving universe we play in, have done a deplorable job with this situation that has gone a long way towards blowing it out of control.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

Woah... Wait.. Realize the truth!

The Truth...

See, microsoft realized.... The Truth... which is why dust isn't there... don't you get it? It is so obvious.

Sony is.... The Goonswarm.... Took em over with special mind control drugs in energy drinks!

It was all a plan, get the players to discredit Eve so they can take over the e-universe. But we showed them! Gave em a good ol carebear stare! See, CCP is in iceland so they cannot be invaded. The whole atlantic is laced with homing antiship icebergs guaranteed to stop an invasion! War of wits man! RMT funded those that want to take away our jellybean supply!

Thought i was by discussing it with you? I have given you an opportunity to clarify your current views.

Not my fault if originally you just wanted to brush the opportunity under the carpet.

So here is a perfect opportunity to "knit wounds" as a result. And I mean that both ways.

Of course you could just continue with your need to marganalise yourselves further?

Regardless of the 30-day forced vacation, I doubt it was really that big a deal for Mittani. He could still easily take an active role in the corporation and delegate responsibilities as necessary. Wouldn't even have to login for things like that. I think the act itself - which I can admit was a tad unnecessary/extreme - was more of an issue than the results.

Besides, the Goons were never interested in destroying this game. EVE Online is unique for what it offers and it would be silly to do such a thing. They're more interested in having fun with people who get easily riled. And who can blame them? Look at all the drama that's taken place here. It'd be hard to resist stirring the pot.

No, it is continuing discussion. In a different place. From the hundreds of threads on exactly the same issue that we've seen in the last week. You are not new. You are not original. There have been better variants of this thread before.

Read the forums, read the anti sony posts. Read the signatures of those posting, especially those who want to see Jita burn.

These are recent postings, so I think it's fair to speculate wether there is a growing anti sony sentiment and to explore options as to why that is so. The most vocal being Mittens whining in sound clouds etc about being misstreated by them and it being an influence on CCP.

My interest therefore is to see whether said influences are based on legitimate concerns or predjudice and wether it's a healthy trend to see encouraged or if there are other motivations.

If Goons go on record that this isnt the case then that understanding will help to waylay fears and sentiment.

Suggest starting your own thread for different topic material. Not interested in diversions.

It's simple. Are you for Sony or against, happy to accept hesitations. Mainly just hoping to see sentiment.

Explain reasoning if you like, i really don't mind. But some significant objections voiced have been anti-sony and the relationship with CCP. You like the game, you want to see it succeed? Then in that context explain why being in any favour towards or against CCP's partnerships effects that.

The question he is asking Goonswarm is: "When did you stop beating your wife?"

Sony and ccp. Well my view. Sony said have all this wonderful creative freedom, here is money make your revolutions in gaming and be big! If CCP was in such financial troubles that they did fall under an umbrella, then glad it was sony. CCP also has strong ties with Nvidia. Don't hear any complaints about that. Oh, and everything CCP develops is proprietary, so unless the company completely folds, it is all theirs. Back to if...

IF

IF

there are any ties besides a "Sony loves CCP for bringing a groundbreaking exclusive F2P game to our console!" then good for ccp. It means the alternatives would have been folding or heavens forbid.

Hey dude...

Goons didn't start the backlash against The Mittani, the 'general public' did.

While The Mittani was dumb in what he said, he owns it and is genuinely apologetic. The 'general public' are who blew this out of proportion and got media outside these forums involved to force a political agenda.

If you wanna have some tinfoil hat about people ruining EVE Online. Start looking towards Eve News 24.

If you wanna know who's doing their best to ruin YOUR GAME, look at The Goons and CFC.

Ummm. Your corps actions and those of your X-chairman associate(not currently your CEO), as well as your own words.

Also the fact none of you seem to be able to stand up and say The Mittani did this, they were his actions and only he is to blame for his own actions.

It really is tough to call the goon's actions as a whole. There were quite a few in the start of it after it got around that were more of the, let it slide leave it to the ones who make the rules. Then there is also the fact that... where are the goon trollers now? I think internally there has been a shakeup to shut up and get to burning ships. Goon's image as being the Aholes of space is pretty much shot right now. Just posting even something saying they concur would start a pretty big flame war. Let them burn raiden or whomever they are fighting right now out. A few more empires. I like goons better as a silent plague on the galaxy, just not in my systems :p

I'm curious how SONY is going to read this "interact with the Playstation" feature of EVE + Dust. All those Playstations going out to the kiddies this Christmas. All those kiddies running to mommy saying, "It's free to play, mom!" All those mommies...

Does SONY know what it's getting with CCP?

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

I agree with OP, my main got a 2 week forum ban for sending copies of the fanfest video to Sony executives :(

Hmmm I guess I should have sent them to the Icelandic government instead....
