Rigs to put on a stiletto

So I'm deciding to fit out a stiletto for smallish gang (5-20) nullsec roaming, but I can't decide what rigs to use.

Ignore cost for a bit.

Currently I have:

Low:
Overdrive II
Nano II
Local hull inertia stabs.

Med:
Experimental 1MN AB
Limited 1MN MWD
Fleeting propulsion inhibitor
Faint Epsilon Warp Scram

High:
2x150mm AC II
Blank slot.

Rigs:
I was thinking that it would be between
1) Hyperspatial Velocity Optimiser
2) Low Friction Nozzle Joints
3) Dynamic Fuel Valve
4) Engine Thermal Shielding

Using 2x(1) I could get up to 21.1 au/s
Alternatively I could use 3) and 4) to improve MWD cap stability.
Or 2) to improve transversals.
etc.

Any useful comments are thanked. Feel free to discuss mods too, esp. Lows.

Reasoning;

Weather or not you have an MSE, you are paper thin, the DC offers no penalties compared to other buffering modules.
SEBO can be unscripted/scripted depending, but its needed to point out to heated range, LR script it if loki boosts.

Nos for keeping point.

Guns are unimportant as they are purely for shooting drones.

Thats about the size of it.

Go tackle like a boss.

Also a C-Type MWD is nice if you have the extra 10mil to drop.

4 speed mods = massive stacking penalties = silly
your "MSE makes zero difference" is quite wrong, it helps a lot actually. A dead tackler doesn't tackle anything.

Here's a decent fit that makes sense, if people want stuff webbed they can bring a Rapier.

Most of what makes the stiletto such a great tackler is its 4 mid slots and extremely low sig radius. Adding an mse to a stiletto is just dumb. Wasting a mid slot and increasing is sig radius. As someone previously stated. If you want to add some tank to it, throw on a damage control. Almost as much tank as the mse, no drawbacks. If you fly it properly, with its low sig radius, you wont get hit.

yeah, low sig radius is going to save you from warrior IIs. They can't track for ****.

The fact that in a few situations the additional sig of an MSE will make you take more damage than you normally would is overcome by the fact that without one, anything that does manage to hit you (such as, for example, Warrior IIs which damn near everyone will be packing) will melt you in seconds.

Speed in and of itself is not a tank. It just augments existing tank.

Incidentally I wrote a blog post about how tackle interceptors (Stiletto, Ares, Raptor, Malediction) should be fit and flown. Take a look.

The Stiletto can be either armor or shield tanked, but considering the fact that it is incredibly fast and its absolutely tiny sig radius, plus the very reduced sig radius bloom you get from Interceptors IV or V, plus the absolutely obnoxious tank it gets with a MSE + DCU fit, fit a goddamn MSE right now.

The OP's fit is not that horrible, but it needs tank. Fit a DCU and a 200mm armor plate instead of some of those speed mods, plus some speed/agility rigs and it's acceptable -- though I expect it will die horribly since the survivability of interceptors inside of scram range is really poor. Just make sure you have your AB running as soon as the MWD gets shut off.

Every 'ceptor needs an MSE. It doesn't matter how small and fast you are, if you're getting tackle on a hostile gang all those glancing blows will add up quick and anti-tackle ships will kill you before you realize what's happening. Dual-prop interceptors don't really hold up well in anything other than the smallest of gangs. You'll just get neuted out and die, and with an AB you'll be moving slowly enough to be tracked by ships other than the one you're orbiting. You have a point range bonus, use it.

Ceptors in general just dont need a tank, your best defence is your speed and ability to deploy throughout the battlefield quickly.

MSEs and plates are all counterproductive to your primary role in my opinion, your only tank should be a DCU.

Two points - Its not 4 stacked speed mods, its 2 speed and 2 agility.

- Yes Rapiers are better for webs, but show me a rapier/arazu with 2k+ sensor resolution.

Thanks for all the replies, it seems that there's some discussion as to MSE vs no MSE...I think I'll have to fit two and maybe get the gang to start shooting at me and see how it goes...

The spare mid slot can be a Scram, Web or a Balmer Tracking Disruptor. Once you have picked this you can upgrade the MSE, MPAC, Nos to use up any spare CPU/PG

I prefer a scram because it lets you catch kiting ships, scram their MWD off, then orbit close (within neut range). The Nos is mandatory for this - it will provide enough cap to keep the scram running even while neuted
