Trying to get dual monitors to work in wine so my screen size is on both monitors. Everytime I start the eve client it defaults to the first monitor.

Run mint 12
wine 1.3

The Dominix is always, the answer the question doesnt matter!!!!!

I have not done this myself, but this is not a WINE issue, but needs to be solved with the X server. If you have an Nivdia card then install their driver and use their settings tool. It should allow you to create one, single X display that pans across multiple monitors.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Use windowed mode with the appropriate resolution.
I have two monitors 1280x1024 total 2560x1024
And run wine with parametrs - explorer /desktop=After_shok,2554x990

Oh... wait... you do not know how to increase the resolution of your WINE window?!

Just run winecfg and select the graphics tab.

From http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=25544
Trick for run 2 or more clients
Quote:
wine explorer /desktop=[_desktop or number label_],[_your max resolution_] "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\eve.exe"

In the properties look like made a shortcut to run the game.
Search string like - wine "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\eve.exe"
Create new shortcut and modify string.

I use that string when play two clients - 1 client per monitor

env LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8 WINEARCH=win64 WINEPREFIX="/mnt/disk-3/game/.wine_1" wine explorer /desktop=after_shok,1280x1005 "E:\\eve\\eve.exe"

The main problem is to get your graphics card to render 3D objects across two or more frame buffers. In order for this to work do you first need to make sure that your graphics driver supports this with your hardware.

The X server has got an extension build in to support this, it is called Xinerama. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xinerama

You will likely have to edit /etc/X11/Xorg.conf and add a few lines and options there before it works.

Here is a link showing some Xorg.conf settings that may or may not work: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/XineramaHowTo

If it's an nvidia card, nvidia-settings should let you enable xinerama.
