Ganking NPC Couriers. The rules have changed.

Now if you gand one of the NPC courier fleets Faction Navy will attack you..

Although there is precious little left to profit from this action, (since CCP nerfed PI related drops and now Pax is pretty much worthless) just thought I'd give a heads up for anyone that still does this and was unaware of the change.

I was of the opinion that shooting at them would get my ass Concorded, What was it like before the change? Nothing shoots at you?

They have always done this. But only as long as the courier ships belong to the corp that owns the station. You must wait for the couriers to leave their home station and then warp to the destination station before you can shoot them safely, and even then it must be a station owned by a different NPC corp. If the destination station is owned by the same corp, or if the owning corp is faction navy and those faction navy ships are buzzing aimlessly around the station, they will shoot you. Concord has nothing to do with shooting the NPC courier ships.

Honestly, I don't usually get anything interesting from NPC couriers except Oxygen, and that ain't worth much.

It's a shame, i used to make a lot of isk back in the good ol' days ganking NPC haulers..... Harvestser mining drones....mmm... You used to also be able to predict what would be inside the haulers as it was often items that the owning station produced (trade goods)

Well, it depends on which station the convoys came from. If you happen to attack a convoy that belongs to the faction navy...They will respond.

(Note, do *not* do this where there are concord stations....it may have unintended side effects...)

Aye, after getting blown up a few times on another toon I managed to get it down. You only lose standings with the npc corp. But wiping out an entire convoy can quickly drop your standings with said corp to rock bottom. Make sure its not someone you want to work for later.
