If you have T2 Sentries. T1's don't have the punch and for most missions T1 Heavy Drones are going to spend hours fluttering about trying to get to there target. Megathron is a better ship now for new Gallente Pilots.

More Range / DPS / More then enough tank. ECCM for Guristas but switch it for a Sensor Booster with Opt Script for Serpentis and any other rats it is dealers choice like say a Target Painter, Cap Recharger, Webifier and so on. For Angel I would suggest 2 EANM's, 1 Kin Hardener, 1 Explosive Hardener. For T2 Guns you will have to spring for Low Cost Faction Hardeners and make other sacrifices for Extra CPU.

Megathron for pve is ineffective. Fit a Domi and use shields. Armor is weak you lose a lot of potential dps fitting for armor. Shields have the low slots for tracking and damage mods. Don't worry about hitting mission rats the AI is incredibly stupid and will mwd right to you. Angels are even easier as they are only dangerous at close range. Fitting blasters you can wipe the floor with them before they get into effective range. And anything that gets close (frigates only really) use drones to clean them up.

As said above Domi is the best Gallente mission boat. However if you want to roll with hybrids.

Megathron and Hyperion have some CPU issues that make fitting 425s without pimp quite annoying. I'm a fan of cap boosters set ups to minimize cap mods and load up on tracking mods, leaning a little to the Hyperion compared to the Megathron but both need a little faction love to get a good fit on

The repper is 30 million and helps with CPU only (otherwise same stats as T2), and the faction hard is 15 million, nothing too severe but this fit performs quite nicely with a nice comfy tank that can be run stable as long as you have boosters and 560 dps @ 36 + 32km w/Antimatter which will probably be all you'll need

A similar fitted Megathron needs 3 Mag Stabs to match the dps, so you have to go 3 hardeners + rep which gives you around 100 less tank, 10 less dps and slighylthan the Hype, for quite abit more tracking. It's even tighter on CPU and doesn't have the wiggle room to change a hardener for a Mag Stab so you're stuck with quite a small tank for Angels.

Depends on the mods TBH. Navy Damage Mods are a common luxury to purchase before buying a more expensive ships. Some Faction Mods that save on Fitting can be as little as 10-20mil.

Fair enough but I would save up for the Navy/Faction hull myself before I invest in the shiny going on it

Why not do both, don't think of a faction mod as a purchase but as solid funds. You can get back your investment simply by reselling the module if market prices hold which unless a new competing module is released or drop / cost rates are adjusted you can.

That 90mil Navy BCU can still be 90mil towards that CNR, in the mean time it just happens to be boosting your DPS.

This, faction items are either transferable to the faction hulls or easily resold, and with the high inflation currently, you'd probably make a nice little profit.

Also, the faction that I put on that Hyperion costs a mere 45 million, on a hull thats well over 100 million it's hardly breaking the bank. Trying to drop the faction items would seriously compromise the fit.

Side note: Those are meant to be T2 modules, Pyfa took away some of my Is

This is the fit I run. Has served me damn well.

With my skills a lil stats
535 dps tank vs Serpentis
4 minutes 7 seconds cap everything on
499.5 dps

I wouldn't say I'm particularly well endowed on the SP front, but it gets stuff done.

I lied :o

My current mission Mega is fit as follows. The 425s can be a pain to use both in fitting them and hitting sub-BC sized ships closer than 30km, but the drones make short work of them if you have the skills. Swapping 350s will also solve both problems and the DPS is very similar. IMO, pve megathrons are actually faster if you know how to position yourself right (if the mission allows for it, otherwise a Dominix will always do it better).
