As the title says, can the CSM or someone from the CSM please take the time to look into the above ?
The current Mac support is at best under resourced. Please read through the various threads in the "Macintosh" section for evidence and historical data.
I'm not asking for every CSM to get onto Orbitz and check Icelandic Air, merely that someone can take ownership and at least ask something like : "Any chance you could look into mac related issues CCP and see if it's a resource issue?"

I don't know if this should be in this section or the Assembly hall section.

I'd love to see better Mac client support. More importantly my MacBook Pro would love it too since it melts every mining nite running two clients!! :)

Yeah that would be really nice but alot of the fault goes to apple and out of GFX cards and drivers sadly.

Mac support is a hot-button issue for me, because I'm a mac guy. But there's no magic bullet to improvements because of the many actors involved and resource limitations.

One thing I am pushing hard for is bug-reporting improvements, which definitely plays a role in improving mac support.

Thanks Trebor, does this mean that you are or will be taking this up with them and staying on top of it ?

Obviously, I want the Mac client to get more love. But at the same time, I have to balance that with development and economic realities at CCP. Because of the way the Mac client is implemented, getting it on a par with the Windows client will require a native rewrite, and that can't be easily justified given the current subscriber numbers.

So, at least for now, the most productive approach would seem to be advocating for things that provide general benefits but have particular benefits for Mac users.

Two that come instantly to mind are:

* Bug reporting improvements -- I've bashed my head into multiple brick walls reporting Mac bugs, as no doubt many of you have. So improvements there mean the devs get better bug reports earlier.

* The Launcher -- there are lots of planned improvements to this. One thing I'd really like to see is built-in support for maintaining both TQ and Sisi clients, and more effort in getting Mac Sisi builds out earlier -- so Mac-specific bugs are more likely to get reported before they hit TQ.

Thanks Trebor,

I just noticed this thread in the "Mac" section- https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=89416&find=unread

Looks like there are people having some horrendous issues.
Think Trebor just made himself the " unofficial, under the radar, nothing to see here move along" mac guy for us mac heads :)
