Restrict alcohol......

In Iceland......

At Fanfest?

Seriously, you might as well try to restrict breathing..... you would probably have more success.

No.
Since it's common sense , not to be shitfaced (and continue to drink) during a "panel" Lol

Also, the devs, seems to keep in line, as in not drunk/drinking during presentations/keynotes ;)

I do like how you trivialise binge drinking and alcohol-fuelled anti social behaviour. What next, I wonder?

As a teetotalist, I believe that EVE fanfest is not the right place to enjoy alcohol. It shows that you are immature and incapable of having fun and socializing without extremely dangerous substances such as alcohol.

In my opinion, in the next fanfest all drinks should be left at the door. If you're so addicted to alcohol that you can't survive a few days without it, then I recommend that you go to rehab as soon as possible.

I did not see members of the panel load the slides.
All the slides was loaded by CCP, and they had seen them before the show.

Also, nothing really bad was said during the debate. Some jibberish was said after the debate was over that could be questionable, at best, that the gaming press that hates EVE-Online, a bad game, started to run with.

This caused the best drama I have seen on the Internet for days on days, and everything was cool, and then for some reason people get banned, war-dec rules to change, High Sec ganking gets nerfed / called exploits, so, I wonder...

Are CCP taking my sandbox away? If so, what will be the difference between EVE and WOW / AOC? I do know a scimitar is a priest, a Hictor is a dwarf and so on, but apart from that, nothing. Eve will just be an empty void with no drama.

Eve can not live without Drama, and please, someone, tell me some dramatic stories from another MMO, because I do not think they exist.

Hmmmmm, well WOW does have MILLIONS more players than eve, that's kinda saying at least a bit I'd say. Obviously dramas aren't always beneficial.

Somebody did something stupid while drinking so now we should punish everyone.

No sorry.

The lessen here is to learn to drink properly or bring along friends to keep you from doing something foolish.

No, no and, well, no.

As much as I cringe when watching certain people present after they've had too many, this is still a party and a celebration and the alcohol is a part of it all and should remain.

No !

It was too funny to watch this ! Mocking MBIII talking nonsense at Dev Quizz, or watching DNSBlack acting like if he was still 16 and give free booze to get Mittani wasted ;), TEST presentation would have been boring if MBIII wasn't intoxicated as hell... No God, please don't restrict it ;)

******* melvins, man.

One guy says something off the cuff and suddenly everything has to change. Party over, everyone go home. You people are why we can't have nice things. Sure, you'll blame the Mittani. You'll rant and rave about how his comments were 'vile' and 'evil,' and then what will you do? Punish everyone else.

You whiny, authoritarian moral demagogues just can't stand it, can you? You want it clean and polished, detached from any emblance of humanity. You know what another word for clean is? Sterile.

CCP camped the gate at the airport with a tour bus, cases of beer, and bottles of jack. That is amazing, unexpected, and fun.

CCP has always had a unique relationship with its players. They've always been the kind of company that you could (literally) sit down and share a drink with, shooting the **** about almost anything while playing a drinking game. CCP has an image; they're gamers, they're fun, they're UNIQUE. They're NOT the suits other game developers and publishers are. They're like you and me. They talk to us, and sometimes they even listen.

Now, because one guy said one thing you want to throw out one of the truly unique elements of CCP's relationship with their fans. God forbid CCP reveal themselves to be human beings for even a split second. That would undermine the faceless corporate facde the thin skinned, politically correct masses want to see.

We play a game about space ships. That doesn't mean we have to be COMPLETE nerds.

Of course they shouldn't, why would CCP ever want to hide their lack of professionalism from the gaming press? Other devs have conventions, CCP takes players on pub crawls..........
