I once ransomed a Navy Mega in lowsec for a 300mil... Was my first ever attempt at ransom and I was flying a T1 fit thorax so a rushed 'for 300 mil I warp away' was the whole conversation.
He paid, I warped....

I feel I did the honourable thing.

The FC asked me later why I warped away and I mumbled something about gate guns.....

That Navy Mega guy sure got upset, don't know what he was upset at me about, like I said... 'I' warped away....

That was a 40 mil lesson in how not to fit a Drake.

When you agree to a ransom, you realize that it is the pirates decision whether or not to honour it. Don't be butthurt at them, be butthurt at yourself for being stupid.
