Hows High Sec today?

My friends and I, hardcore carebears we are all left EVE when the interdiction started, during rumblings of perminant Hulkageddon style high sec wars funded by Goons.

Upon getting a whiff of these rumors (that Ill admit we dont even know if they ever happened or not) most of my friends left, so I followed. I know the trolling fun and flaming "go home indy etc etc" Ill get but whats the state of high sec today? I DONT believe like my friends do that High sec should EVER be "safe space", honestly, without risk the game is boring. Te first few weeks in game (before I heard about high/low/null sec) were the most fun times I had in the game. When I thought every ship I saw that was a player ship could shoot me.
THATS was actually interesting. It got LESS interesting when I learned it was safer that I thought.
On the other side of the coin, the reason I dont live in 0.0 is I dont like being a cockroach either. I DONT like warping to station EVERY TIME a ship warps in. Yes, I realize theres really no middle ground there.

Anyhoo; whats high sec like for us carebear/miner/missioners nowadays?

High sec is doing great. In fact all the bears are having a victory day celebration in Jita on the 28th. You should go there.

Do you smell what the Lock's cooking?

You should deff check it out, its a huge event. CCP is even involved.

They are even adding belts back to Jita because TIDI works so well. If it was me I would fly a Hulk there for the celebrations.

Here you go. That fellow pirate is making some nice profits and he will never run out of pirate fuel ever again.

Hmmm...in after The Lock. How cool is THAT?

High sec. It's time to get out and do our lawns. We have new parameters for lawns after the last update. Everyone is required to have shrubbery - two rows - the front shorter than the back. Birds are chriping and the flowers are in bloom. (I know there's no galactic warming. Spring always comes in March!) We're waiting for the collegians to get out on Spring break, so we can mass arrest them and increase the municipal coffers with various fines.

On a GOOD note, however...Kentucky vs. Kansas for the NCAA finals. Go Wildcats!

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

Oh I see what you were trying to imply there.

With :CCP: and all. The bears will be celebrating because highsec pvp will just become a total exploit, right?

How come he only lost 1 ship during his 26 kills?

I believe that was just his way of pointing out that the guy is still doing the boomerang kill 'exploit' that CCP is going to try and fix. Perhaps someone he killed should file a petition.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

No, he lost a ship everytime, it is just that killboards do not show losses that only have npcs/concord on them. I don't see "nice profits" though, unless a hulk has a faction booster, you lose around 15-20m on a t2 destroyer and maybe get 5-15m in t2 loot from a hulk. Again, unless you get a shiny mod, the best you can hope for is breaking even suiciding exhumers. If you want to make isk suiciding then you go for haulers, but it's rather boring as most people hauling a lot of expensive stuff protect it. Hulks are just way easier to gank because they are everywhere and they don't even try to protect themselves or warp away.

The same way you can get shot at jita undock without knowing why, not being at war with (npc corp), you dock and at your second undock the guy is still there scanning other ships, shooting other ships and no concord (or probably with half dozen logi alts repping him until GCD goes out)

You're not supposed to tank Concord, but some seem to know how to just like this guy can kill 26 ships before loose a single one.
