Seems to give some error, does anyone else have the patch please, I am sick of waiting for back and forth with CCP asking me in one liners have I done this then that then that, till I finally bloody loose my temper.

I'm not sure. The patch just crashes at some point, error log stating it cannot read byte #x8b.

I've had the same issue for weeks and I finally found a fix.

Generic Patch-MAC
Generic Patch-Windows

Download the above. (For Latest Patch Release)

It will install it WITHOUT the need to even open the EVE Launcher. Everything related to EVE must be shut down. The software may ask you to reboot your PC before it will run and patch your game.

I could not access EVE for close to 3 weeks or more. Found this today and it worked the first try and I'm now back in the game. Granted I lost a full paid month and a full month of training that I'll never get back but I am back to playing.

Hope this helps at least someone. Worked like a charm for me. It DOES NOT have to be in your eve folder to work.

Also, when new patches are released and you want to bypass the Launcher use the links below to get this for new patches.

Windows
Mac

Just click your OS link above, when on the page just click the "Generic Patch" link and your good to go.

I'm guessing a repair doesn't work either? I think you may need to reinstall the entire client again :(

Is anyone else getting a URLopen error? I have to download the entire game on the fallback page after every patch. Repair, launcher and the EVE patcher all return the same error. I have tried two different ISP's on both sides of the Atlantic (I physically flew from Europe to America). I have some suspicions that this is a WIN7 x64 problem or maybe due to the space in program files directory name.

I literally have no clue how to proceed, every patch means another 4Gb download. I couldn't even put in a petition about it.

OK so the question is "Does anyone recognise the URLopen error?"

I haven't seen the URLopen error as far yet OCHOYTNIK, however it seems very similar to the data corruption issue a lot of the W7 64bit systems have.

It is not entirely to blame on the OS, as a lot of my friends are using it and haven't gotten problems as far yet. But it certainly seems to be connected.
