So I've been trying to avoid getting dragged into arguments on the forums with the various people trolling in threads about Risk, but this post will get a response, against my better judgement.

That's a fine bit of research there Mr Epeen, you seem to have a fair bit of time to spend attacking my threads, I'm not sure to what end but I'll keep those opinions to myself.

The list you have put together is simply a cross section of some of our players who have been hanging around our site and public channel that have indeed seen a link to this and the other forum thread about our site. Some people actually enjoy playing on our site enough to come and post some positive feedback for us to help reinforce the fact that Risk is a legitimate site and that it is safe for others to try. The list you have put together is a small sample of our 272 players to date.

The fact that the list you have put together is of players who are not all regular forum warriors with hundreds of posts makes their opinions and comments no less valid than anybody elses.

You've had your fun, Risk IS legitimate, you have NOT tried it, you are simply here to attack it and try to ruin it for other people from what I can tell.

We are growing more popular as time goes by and are slowly building a good reputation just as other sites have had to do (and I'm sure they've had to put up with all of this nonsense in the beginning too). Can't wait for a year down the line, all the naysayers will look a bit silly then.

If anyone would like a serious discussion about this with me, please contact me in game or join public channel: 'Risk Incorporated' where you will be able to find other players (and not almost 300 of my alts believe it or not). I'm going to try to not get dragged in by people trolling from now on but I may respond to valid questions.

Thanks for your time,

Richie.

Lol All the people on the top lists are the same ones you use to try and sell your site and pad your threads.

You need to learn from this this and start over. How many threads have you had locked with your amateurish attempts at manipulation? When the big money winners are your alts there is a problem.

After nearly a month since you last posted in this thread you just happened to be browsing it right after I posted.

Coincidence?

Can't wait to see who else gets resurrected for the defense of Richie.

The big money winners are drawn using Chribba's Dice. But yes, they are only ever going to be my alts because I can ofcourse manipulate the results of Dice can't I......idiot.

I can see that you are obviously here to try to derail my threads about Risk and have no interest in adding to the discussion or asking any serious questions. Please go and find something else to do with your time. You obviously have a lot of it with nothing better to do but attack me for no good reason.

The fact is that the site is legitimate and real. We have more than enough users and reputation now to discredit one little forum troll. That is until you ofcourse bring your alts and make up more lies. All of our users have experienced the fact that we are legit and nothing you can say will change that.

Please stop wasting your time by trying to affect our business, it isn't working. Go and mine some asteroids or shoot some rats. Your comments aren't going to gain you any more 'likes' or increase the size or your, erm, ego.

Not trying to derail this by any means, but I feel the need to state regarding the Dice itself for people who does not know how it works.

While the Dice cannot be manipulated and the Dice provides random numbers, there is nothing that stops the "lottery side" from manipulating their end.

For example when the Dice is created and number X is rolled as "winner", X will always be X from creation until unlock - however winning number Y on the issuer side (the one hosting the lottery) could become Z.

There is absolutely no way for me or the Dice to ensure that Y does not change to Z, I can only guarantee that X always remains X on the Dice side.

Chribba is spot on ofcourse,

On the Roulette page it links you to the Dice roll for that particular game. I actually make a point of telling people to save a link to the Dice roll before they play so that they can always verify it for themselves afterwards.

The rolls under my API on Chribba's site will always be in the format 'RiskRoulette-xxx' where 'xxx' is the Roulette id of the game being played. It is important that you remember this and the numbers you picked for security as Chribba is quite right, it would be entirely possible for us to manipulate this stuff at our end - although this is something we would NEVER do, and if you monitor the games carefully, as anyone can, you will find that no funny business like this will ever happen - it just isn't worth our reputation.

Chribba, a while ago I remember asking you about an API to Dice so that it would be possible to automatically set up Dice rolls for ALL of our draws. It's a bit of a pain to do it manually and would get in the way of the elegant automation we have on our site. I remember you saying you were just too plain busy to do custom stuff at the time which is totally understandable.

Then it hit me last night...

Chribba if you are willing to entertain it, I am willing to write a front end API to your Dice system myself to save you the time. I'm not sure how you feel about this because it will mean having to audit/trust my work for your own purposes and may require a little help with, or access to the existing Dice code.

This would allow us to route ALL of our number requests through Dice for auditing and then off to random.org out the back of that, or whatever system you are using to get the numbers yourself. This would create a totally audited and secure (since you are so widely trusted in game) draw mechanism for Risk. There would ofcourse be a kickback for you for providing this service on a percentage basis if you are interested.

So there it is. I'm doing the absolute best I can within the constraints of what I have to play with in order to show the EVE community that I am serious about this and am running it totally legitimately. It's a profitable model which delivers over time, there is no point and no need to scam at all.

I need to chase random.org about the auditing they are supposed to be providing as that is something else I promised, but my hands are tied until they put it on the table.

No other site is going to such lengths to prove their legitimacy as far as I am aware, so trolls please get off my back already.

Thanks,

Richie.

Yes, I am a Richie's alt made only to fool people into trying his site.

"Sarcasm - because arguing with stupid people is not nearly as fun..."

Yes, i have 2 posts, and both are on Richie's threads. The reason is that i actually prefer playing the game over writing about it on forums. Richie linked the thread in the Risk channel, and seeing your stupidity, i was obliged to respond, and i believe the story is the same for most people here. There are hundreds of people who tried Risk, and they all claim it to be legit. If you truly believe they are all his alts, you really need help...

Just to put a final nail in the coffin about this being rigged in any way, or the winners being my alts...

The second Roulette game has now sold out. The Roulette ID for this game is 758. The Dice roll for this is on Chribba's site here .

Just so we have an audit log of the tickets sold, and so that we can't do the old y = z switcharoo that Chribba was talking about (and I know he was explaining this from a neutral standpoint and I don't take offense to what he posted as he is quite right), but to curb any foul play...

These are the ticket numbers sold for Roulette game id 758:

SELECT TicketNumber, CharName FROM ItemLotteryTicket
JOIN Users
ON ItemLotteryTicket.CharID = Users.CharID
WHERE ItemLotteryID = 758

This just states what people can already see by looking at the Roulette board. I will unlock the Dice later on today once this has sat on the forums for a few hours to put some time between this 'snapshot' of what's going on and the draw for the itself. I won't edit this post after posting (so I hope there are no typo's!) and I encourage any naysayers to take a copy of this list and verify the points I have made now or forever hold their peace about this.

I've eve-mailed the ticket list and Dice link to Chribba just now too. I don't expect him to confirm anything personally and I certainly wouldn't consider it a personal endorsement for Risk even if he did. If we wanted to scam people for a carrier, we've had two opportunities now, so we aren't here to just run off with the kitty.

Ugh. What a negative thread. I hope we can get back to more positive threads about Risk in future with less whining and trolling involved.

Thanks,

Richie.

...and the winner is...

Knnes!

Just goes to show that taking the risk (no pun intended) of buying up half the tickets can pay off!

Well done :)
