Im having trouble losing and locating cosmic sigs in HS even though skills at 5? Happens around 4 AU with 5+ probs, tried it in another system and still no good. Is this a bug cause I never had issues when my skills were 4? Cry

From your scanning window, click on your filters (left side, just above results) and check everything under Cosmic Signature. For whatever reason these are all unchecked by default.

Thanks, but I can see that there is a cosmic sig, and can even get it down to 4AU before losing it. Using 5 core sister probes and in a buzzard in .6 space. I'm just wondering if I'm bugged now that my scanning skills are at 5. It was never difficult b4 so I'm at a lose. I'll check my filters though.

It's the filters. The reason you're losing them at 4 au is that they pass 25% and are suddenly identified rather than unknown -- then the filters kick in.

It's a well-known, well-documented phenomenon. Check the exploration forum.
