If i buy a plex on an active account can I give it to a character on a trial account for them to make their account a full account?

If so, how do i do the trade?

Yes, a PLEX converts a trial account to a full account.

Drop it in space to trade?

That's definitely the safest way to do it, just trade it over like any other item

While your both in the same station, right click on his character in a chat channel/loca/station guest list screen and the 'trade' option should come up.

Can't have a trial account and a paid account running at the same time on the same computer. Tried it before, wouldn't let me log in both at the same time.

I had to give the trial account ISK, then bought a PLEX from the market to get the PLEX. Dunno if there are any other ways.

Use an anchored and password protected secure container. Launch "for self" and set the password AFTER anchoring.

send alt account the 500mil or so, then buy plex and activat
note that trials cannot send isk back... so be sure you do it right.

Right click the plex, create contract -> item exchange, private, type in the character's name (triple check that it's right!), next next next until the end.

Right click character name from Address Book give money 500million. Buy Plex. Upgrade Account.

Trial accounts can not do direct trades, nor can they use the contract system. The best way to trade a PLEX to a trial account is the way already mentioned; Buy PLEX on active account, buy a small secure container, undock, fly to a belt/planet/moon, anchor container, set a password, log off, log on the trial acct, fly to wherever the can is anchored, open can, take PLEX, active trial account.

or... just transfer ISK to the a character on the trial account and buy PLEX.


The only real reason (that I could think of) to use the container to transfer the PLEX would be A.) if you already own the PLEX on your active account, or B.) if you want to leave no trace of the transfer from your active account to your trial account. In the future, if you need to give your full API to someone to join a corporation and you plan on using the trial account for nefarious activities, a transfer of ISK could be seen, whereas a transfer of PLEX via an anchored container would not.

Trial accounts *can* do direct station-trades. I've used this few times to give "51 day buddy invites".

(But as already said if that is your trial account then you can't login trial account and other account same time on same computer.)
