I voted for the Mittani. I voted for him for two reasons, because he would have been good for the game, (I suppose you're going to call me a Goon alt, and frankly I don't care what you think.) and because you would have raged impotently on the forums.

Goons are right tho, this game isn't very fun unless there is forum drama going along with it.

I'd rather we not waste time on another election and focus on the future of the game, rather than ingame drama politics.

That means we should move all the CSM members up a Rank.

Meaning the person who had the second most votes after Mittani should become the Chairman.

I am... Well, that's not really important. What is important is that I am not a Goon or a member of TEST, & I am also not an alt of one. What is also important is that I voted for Mittens.
'Why?' you may ask; Because his views on EVE represented what I want from the game.

I would vote for him again given the chance, or anyone else that represents what I want from this game.

Voting 101:

Goonswarm Federation: 8431 members (lets pretend half of that are inactive)

Test Alliance Please Ignore: 6380 (lets pretend half of these are too stupid to find the vote button)

14811 combined accounts in these two alliances alone.....

7405.5 is the above number cut in half, at this point we can guess this is the amount of active player base.

Lets pretend that 2653 votes are needed to achieve the golden number....

Lets also pretend that non goon alts voted (omigod they have other supporters!)..... Lets make this number 1000 for shivers n wiggles..

1653 votes left unaccounted for....... Oh look, we have more than one account, lets vote on it! We could also get our other supporters who have more than one account to vote....

Oops, there goes the theory that most of the player base really wanted The Mittani at the top...... It was just our power bloc voting after all...

really people, you should do a step back. You make it sound like alliance members should not support their leader, just because they are an alliance that can actually function with 8000+ members, hello!!! sanity check here please !

gosh, i would want to be led by a person who can lead 100+ members at any time of the day.

I'm sorry if a newbie has to break it to you but it is very simple; he has the majority of the votes !

1) of members of his alliance (wow---- how could that happen), his alliance happens to have overwhelming number of members.

2) substantial number of community, not in their alliance

I'm struggling with the question, why did they bother with rest of community. He would have won anyway. Maybe, because they wanted to add value and stimulate community to vote. Or, it was result of paranoia, that any of other CMS candidates could come to the same idea as they did and they just wanted to be better at it. But you did not. Deal with it.

I sense the "uravnilovka" set of mind (within CSM board) being promoted here, which is sad.

and yes, enough of "rest" of us voted for him to almost annul the votes received by other individual CMS candidates.

I feel that my voice should be heard and my vote(s) should count the same as those casted for other candidates. I think he did a mistake at Fanfest and i think he redeemed himself. That is good enough for me.

I'm not tryna say what Mittens did was right or wrong, or that CCP was right or wrong, what I want to say to you the EvE-o Forums is this... Whether you voted for Mittens or not is largely irrelevant at this point because the events have happened and they are now consigned to the annals of EvE history, where they can be argued over til the end of time, until then can we all just forget about this because its getting a little boring now, and crack on with the reason we are all here in the first place... Internet Spaceships not Internet Politics!

Goons don't really do the whole "pet" thing. They really aren't into the whole "padding their space with people they don't like" thing, either.

Goons tend to shoot people they don't like. Hell, Goons tend to shoot people they DO like, for fun. All these people that you refer to as "pets", likely because you think they have no voice or something (idk, really). They are all friends of Goons. They like Goons, and Goons like them.

Goons don't abandon their friends, like certain alliances did with their "pets". If Raiden. or whoever decides to try and take a swipe at an ally, and that ally looks like they might not handle it, Goons will come and help out if asked. Not for any cost, or payment or anything. Just to help out a friend in need.

So you can take your little "pets" business and turn around and go back to whatever corner of space that you call home and enjoy your little ideas on your own time.
