Hello gentlefolk, what's the best way to make a living flying this ship? Do I sell my services to mission runners in hubs? Join a corp who wants a salvager, and split with them? Steal salvage from folks?

Spam local. Alot of people like myself don't bother to salvage so there will be ALOT of wrecks going free, a quick word and people will either fleet you or give you a bookmark to the abandoned wrecks.

I recommend joining a corp that run a lot of missions as most mission runners would rather run another mission than salvage. Salvaging level 4s is really nice isk. Also you could look for a worm hole corp if you have salvage at 5, and probe skills.

If you can join a corp that's cool with stuff there'll probably be at least a few people who run missions in hi-sec or do things like ratting in anomalies/belts in 0.0 who'll be just fine with you following behind them and hoovering up their wrecks, especially if you're cool and willing to split some of the isk you make from selling/using the salvage you get.

if you dont want to do any of the seling work, but just he salvage
pro synergy has people who does the selling...
our break down is 45% for mission runner 45% for salvager 10% for seller.
it sounds complicated but the system we have is simple if you join

You won't be ninja salvaging in a Noctis as you can't tractor other people's wrecks. If you want to try your hand at that and have some basic probing skills, fit salvagers and an agile frigate and look for faction battleships as they quickly run missions and often won't care for salvage/loot.

You'd have better returns politely asking, and may then be able to use your Noctis on abandoned wrecks, but "ninja salvaging" can be exciting and you may learn a thing or two about probing, using your scanner, and speed tanking. With learning skills no longer in the game holding new players back, I'm not sure if anyone still ninja salvages who isn't trying to grief, however, so it's frowned upon by many.
