Hi guys,

I'm newbie in this game, but i love it.

So, i played WoW for 4 years (and another's MMO Clone), i have a lot of doubts.

For while, I will follow "Mission Runner".

I'd like know how I can get good missions ? There's a guide ? How i choose the best missions for me ? There's a place that I see about "Standing" and the "Rewards" best for me ?

For example: If I just do missions with one agent, in the end, when I get a lot of "Standing", wich rewards I can buy ? Like this...

I see missions like "quests". But, Eve dont have lvl up, so...we dont have a path to follow...and because this, i'm a little bit lost..

Ty ! Big smile

There is an obvious parallel with missions and quests in other mmos, but like most things in eve, there's a lot more to it.

First, let's look at standings. There are 3 different standings you should be aware of, agent, corporation, and faction. Completing a regular mission for an agent will increase your standings with him, and his corporation, but not his faction (and also net you some isk and LP). You can check an agent's information to see what corporation he works for, and likewise check a corporation to see what faction it is from.

Going further, you can also lose standings by running regular missions. How so? When you run a mission, you are blowing up ships. Sometimes, those ships belong to specific factions. If they do, you'll lose standings with that faction every ship you blow up. This is why many mission runners avoid 'tag' missions, or missions against one of the four main empire factions, amarr, caldari, gallente, and minmatar.

Now, a resource...

Eve-survival

Here you can find just about any piece of info on just about any mission. There's more to mission running, but this is a lot of info already. Hope it was helpful.

Its also better for you to work for the agents that belong to one NPC corporation. This will build your standing with that corporation and allow you access to better and better (higher level) agents within that corporation. And will also mean all your LP are for the same corporation.

You can use the in-game agent finder to find agents that are suitable for you.

About LP - these are Loyalty Points and are redeemable only with the NPC corp that gave them to you. You redeem them in the Loyalty Point store that can be found in a station belonging to the NPC corp you have the LP with. The more LP you have the better things you can get from an LP store.

Bare in mind that some items from LP stores are worth more than others when sold on the open market and that in order to get the most reward from running missions you should chose the corp you run missions for carefully. Feel free to disregard this until such time as you start running level 4 missions, since it will be hard to get meaningful amounts of LP before this, but its something worth keeping in mind if you want to maximise your earnings potential.

Oh ty Kilrayn !

But, for example, I'm military. I need get specific missions for my "profession" or just get every mission that I see ? There's a specific standing for professions ? For example: If I'm millitary, i need just get missions for milittay.

You guys, just use "Agent Finder" to get missions, or use something more ?

Ty again !Big smile

To find combat missions, just look for agents in the security division (I believe you can sort that through the agent finder). Also as Malcolm pointed out, try to stick with one particular corp at first.

To clear up any potential confusion with this. The agent finder will find you agents. You have to fly to the station that the agent is in and talk to that agent to get them to offer you a mission.

Here are the relevant agent types:
Distribution
Security
Mining
R&D

guess which one you want to be running? :P

As for LP store, here is all the LP stores

For each offer you need to provide all three things if they're listed; you'll need LP, ISK, and items

Also when you hit 8.0 standing with a corp you will be allowed to create jump clones with them. I highlight create cause...

A) Being allowed to create a jump clone does not mean they have the facilities with which to do this, do your research (Make sure to have "cloning" selected under station services)
B) You don't need this standing to jump to an existing jump clone, whether or not the corp in question's stations is the destination or the source

Humm..ty guys !

So, about "Corp".

You guys recommend to me a Corp to begin and get some "Standing" ? (Remeber: I ll fly like a millitar for a while, but, I'll get some thing like Industry and Minning, to create my own itens)

Remember: There is no class system in Eve. Nor is there any form of NPC faction affiliation for people who do not chose to join faction warfare.

Nobody can tell you what would be the best corp/agent for you, because there are too many factors to consider. You will have to learn and understand the relevant mechanics, and make your own decisions.

For Minmatar NPC corps you could look at:

Republic Fleet,
Republic Security Services
Vherikor Tribe (Prob spelled that wrong)

Not to ignore Brutor Tribe offering lots of combat related LP rewards. Together with the ones mentioned by Malcom should offer you more than enough missions for a while.
