CCP add Jita burn to the official Lore of New Eden

If I were CCP, here's what I would do.

I would watch the stats on the Burn Jita campaign and set a benchmark for it... I don't know what the normal number of ganks per day in Jita are but say it's normally 200, 300 ? Anyway, if the burn Jita campaign results in a sustained number of ganks over 2000 or 3000 for at least a week (or any other benchmark they decide on) then CCP should make some sort of symbolic, permanent change to the Jita system to memorialize and recognize it.

What I was thinking would be to have the 4-4 station actually be destroyed as a result of this action. Move everyone's stuff to a new station a couple thousand km from the old station and leave the old station in pieces as a monument to what the capsulers can achieve through teamwork and determination. Of course the Monument would have the story of what those crazy pilots actually did so that years from now new players would be able to see the story...

This would need to be benchmarked to only a significant and sustained impact on the trade hub. If this thing fizzles (which it might) then there would be no such reward for it.

I think also maybe they could hatch a new type of NPC that patrols near the monument symbolizing that this action was too large for the police to handle (they had to call in the army)...

Don't let any opportunity to promote the game go to waste... even a massive and prolonged act of griefing the entire community such as is planned. :)

Sounds like a plan, especially like the part about moving all items to the new station. I think Concord can handle dishing out plenty of swift retribution.

If the Burn Jita Operation does commence, CCP should keep a tally of the amount of Goonswarm ships lost and then erect another monument commemorating their failed attack on New Eden.

Yes, truly goons camping a hisec station and spamming local whilst nuking the occasional dopey freighter pilot is a legendary tale for the ages.

Add enacted as a result of a CEO for revenge purposes due to an IRL harrassment moment of "epic stupid", yeah sure they'll want to mark it on the calender. Roll

And before Goonies and supporters whine about it not being revenge and celebrating votes anybody remember the state of the Goonion rant where Mittens threw his toys out the pram in response to CCP's decision where the chronology goes:

"I'm so pissed right now", "So here's what we are going to do". Motivations being to test CCP's resolve. Clearly a pre-fanfest agenda. Roll

Sandbox supporter in me says let it happen of course, but I'm sick of hearing it being called something other than what it obviously is, and doesn't need any recognition in historical terms other than a mini-event due to spite. Makes you question certain apologies as a result.

A brass plate can be placed , Here is the almighty paint scratch left by the amassed rage of goonswarm, their ships bursting at the seams as the hit upon the shields of the station, much like rain on a car windshield,

Lore wise, ( if I remember correctly) it took a inside job by the broker to bring down the shields of the ishkur station, allowing a Nyx carrier to collide with it, let alone the measly firepower of a few tornadoes.

I'd prefer we let the players write the history if we can.

And that's even the biggest accomplishment they made this year.... and they say we are not relevant Blink.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Since all we have seen of burn Jita is a bunch of butthurt little bee threats, don't you think your OP is a little premature?

I would fly my Ishkur station at around 2km/s and hope it collides with a planet.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

Id say this would be a good idea is they added the summer of rage Jita statue shooting to the lore. Otherwise a corp throwing a massive temper tantrum that their leader's wrist was slapped for stuff he could have been banned for (its CCPs game they can do us for anything they want) isnt lore worthy imo.

(oh I like the spin where it was a pre planned thing and not nerdrage)

If the filth are dumb enough to leave anything in that station it should explode.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

However history is written positive or negative to the goons.... doesn't matter.
Key is using real life game events in the lore... CCP was there to write the original lore and since then this game has taken on a life and history of it's own defined purely by the players.

and If I were CCP, it would happen hah

CCP like to smack talk alot because they have Devhaks but when push comes to shovbe they dock up and log out.

That's why I am hoping Goons aren't just smack talking.
